I think FDB would be a perfect fit for us. I'll be gutted if we miss out on him just because he answered a journo's question.

That suits me fine as long as Tino doesn't fuck off somewhere else now. Would be fucking typical.

Could just be talk from FDB though, of course.

Don't think we should be waiting around to see what happens with Ancelotti.

Even if he is available he hasn't managed a team without megabucks for years now so don't think he's best suited to us.

Pretty sure this is what he said a few weeks back. He does want to move but if nothing materialises then he will stay at Ajax.

I get the feeling we are gunning for FDB, but have Pochettino lined up just incase. Don't see it being anyone outside of that pair. Can't decide which one I'd prefer, change my mind daily.
I can see for and against both.
FDB has the high profile, title winning cv and good history with two of our better players. But equally no experience of the EPL.
Pochettino has had limited success with a limited side, showing he had what it takes to translate his ideas and tactics to the hustle and bustle of the EPL. But does he have the profile? Suggestions he has no plan b to kill off or turn round games?
I don't mind either in truth, just want one of them in so the work on settling and planning can start prior to the circus of the World Cup.

Unless our bald leader knows something we don't, surely Carlos would be a perfect fit??

I agree. To be honest, I will be happy with either. Whichever one gets it, I expect a huge improvement next year.

And until Man Utd name him, there's still the remotest off chances LVG could be available.
Paper talk has suggested that some on the Man Utd board are worried that he's a loose cannon who could shoot his mouth off.

OMG please please please drop the shit with Anchelotti.
Theres more chance of Hull winning the title next season than him coming to Spurs.
Those type of guys, your Mourinhos, only go to the mega bucks clubs who have history of winning stuff no matter who is at the helm. Like we could afford him even if he turned around tomorrow and said he'd love to join Spurs (yeah, see that happening).
Its just embarrassing and fans of other teams laugh their arses off when they read that sort of crap.
Seriously, pack it in coz its pissin me off.
Whos bloody cheapest?? Thats who we're getting

It would be extraordinary, but if Ancelotti was sacked, Manu might just fancy some of that. LVG would then be free, but I doubt he'd head our way.

Ancelotti and LVG are proven experienced managers and their sights will be set higher than our little club. They want to win things.

Technically Hull have a 1 in 20 chance of winning the league next year, not the worst odds in the world!

The article is obviously fabricated horseshit, based on the latest iteration of the same comment De Boer has been making for the past 2 months. Other than the quotation, the rest is spin and bollocks.

Not so sure about that, m8. I suspect I am going to get dumped on for this, but Ancelotti is overrated IMHO. Don't get me wrong, he is a good manager, but not remotely close to being worthy of the insane amount of £ his salary would command. In fact, I don't even like Benitez at all, and I believe Carlo is just slightly better tactically than the Spanish Wanker.

Let's consider the following:
Ancelotti was at the two (or even three or four) of the most powerful and filthy rich clubs in the whole wide world, with virtually no restrictions on the budget. With any and all resources at his disposal, and largely no opposition when it comes to transfer targets of his own preference.....and he still only managed a relatively underwhelming level of accomplishment.
He got what, a double with the Chavs before getting sacked. Then he got that title with PSG, and Copa Del Rey this year with Madyid (well, he's still in the race for CL victory, but we'll see).
In almost a decade at those clubs, thats not nearly as good as he's made out to look by some folks.

Just sayin. ;)

Much rather FDB or Poch...Much more fitting candidates for us, IMHO.

Cheers!

I like debate and as such urs isn't condescending or agressive, the reason I would want Carlos if we could get him is because firstly he's a coach, he is happy to work with what he is given. He has a style that's proved not an up in the air philosophy that hasn't quite been seen. I've always found him media savvy and has a good CV, being at a big club doesn't always secure success, look at Jose this year. His position at Madrid is a bit part IMO it not a club the suits him. Perez makes Levy look like a pussy cat. Don't get me wrong, De Boer and Poch I would love to be successful but they have very little experience in our league. When you look at our history we haven't ever really had a manager with an actual CV, this time I want one. Like you no matter who we choose I will be behind them.

I suppose I see your rationale in terms of Carlo and his CV, etc. You have a good point there, m8. I am still rather gravitating towards FDB or Poch though. It's interesting how many Yids just want one or the other.
