The media killed him as a manager. Leave him alone and I think that spark would return, but especially in this country thats not going to happen.

The media that he whored himself to at every available opportunity.

Don't often post on here but I'm astonished that we are even having this conversation. Poch is the manager and he should stay. We need to offload in Jan any player that is no longer buying into how he wants them to play same as he did when he first joined.
Also the thought of Mourinho and his brand of non football being our manager is frankly horrific.
You should post more often.

If we couldn't get rid of these players in the summer, what makes you think they'd choose to go 6 months before they can leave on a free?
They have to agree to go, they're not old sofas you can just take to the tip.

Has anyone floated that idea of Ian Holloway yet? I'd love to see it sneak in to the daily red top rumour sections.

Yep, managing in this country now takes much more than good coaching and player management.

You see manager after manager absolutely bemused by a journalist with no real knowledge of the game forcing their views onto people who have performed at the top of game both as a manager and player.
And these are the people who create the narratives for the masses.

My lad's team were 3-1 down at half-time on Sunday. Tactical change, plus a bollocking at H/T (my lad said the coach swore at them for the first time) resulted in a 7-4 win.
Definitely more capable than Poch.

Initially I was really against Mourinho. I thought he was beyond arrogant, and not the kind of man I wanted at the helm of our club. I also though he was now outdated, his successful years are behind him.
However, having seen him on commentary of late, he actually seems to have become less arrogant. Most interesting though, I saw an article recently where he said he was taking this break to recharge and refresh, come back with new ideas and visions of how he was going to coach, including bringing in all new assistants also to freshen UL his approach.
I’m now not so against him as I was, albeit of those mangers freely available I still think Allegri is more current and could be a better option. Neither strike me as dynamic tactically though, both seem to setup more to suffocate teams.
Will have to wait and see.

Allegri please. If not him then I would now officially prefer Mourinho to keeping Poch or having somebody like Hughton in caretaker charge for the season.

I can’t imagine the football under Allegri or Jose to be that inspiring (although obviously better than what has been served up in 2019). I would go for Rogers because I think he could bring on younger players and build a project. I’d be delighted if he brought Ndidi, Maddison and Chilwell with him too. Don’t see him leaving Leicester for the $h1t show that is us at the moment as he has a good thing going there.
