Seen a few people mention Mourinho and Allegri

Mourinho would never get along with Levy, never

Allegri is just sooooooo boring, and I know that we wouldn’t care if we win but we would never win the league or CL with him

Utd I agree with, but resource wise we're not far behind Chelsea....theyre run as a business these days.
Mourinho may or may not win a trophy or two (the competition is fierce), but his m.o. is simply not a good fit for the club IMO. We can’t afford to bring in aging players on massive wages with no resale value, which is what he’d demand. Levy would never go for it and there’d be a falling out within 18 months. If he were the only top manager available it’d be one thing but Allegri is out of a job as well.

I want a short-term replacement for now. One that can at least instill some confidence, bring some positivity back to the club and hopefully just put the players in a position where they want to try. Then, in the summer, bring on a long term replacement (Erik ten Hag, Julian Nagelsman, etc.). With them coming on, bring about the complete revolution of the side (players leaving on frees, offloading players no longer good enough), and ride with the highs/lows.

Ten Hag would be an interesting appointment, but precisely our second half turn around against his Ajax side makes me think him and the Premier League wouldn't be a good fit.

I don't think there are many top class managers available at the moment and not many clubs will let their best talents go mid-season. Redknapp as caretaker until the end of the season anyone?

Love to see Simeone but no chance he'll leave Atletico.

Add Thomas Tuchel to the list.... not a great chance of getting him but it’s the premier league so maybe.

Mourinho is poison. He might win us a trophy but it will be playing shit football. 1-0 wins and 0-0 draws.

I do like the Ajax manager but I feel we need someone with a bit of stature to take on the squad.

Conte maybe just anyone but Mourinho.. it’ll be selling our soul to the devil for one trophy. He always leaves teams in more of a mess than he goes in. Inter took years to recover and look at united

Don't really see any obvious candidates for interim aside from Chris Hughton, Gus Poyet etc? I think we need a big name now to get some of these players to sign new deals.

Allegri or Marcelino. Both know how to set up a team defensively.

Why would Mourinho join us? We are not big enough for him to come in and win something with.

He wouldn’t want to come in, not win anything and leave in 18 months. We also wouldn't throw money at players the way he is used to.

I’m going Mourinho. I’ve come round to the idea lately. He’d fucking love being the first modern manager to win us some proper silverware.

I do agree that's the red flag attached to him. But, he's shown he can develop players, puts them in a position to succeed (them even being in the CL Semi-Final should be enough of a ringing endorsement) and he's been successful on the European stage with a smaller budget than just about all of the other sides that were in the knockout stages last year.
