Mate, it's okay, you can just admit that @Dougal strong-armed you into doing so that no one would be able to tell when he went ahead and secretly voted for Mourinho in the now-anonymous poll: we all know what he's like.
I’m just not in the mood to joke about this anymore. The players have fucked Poch over but don’t underestimate the shit that has come from forums and social media that has constantly undermined him when things haven’t gone our way. A lot of our keyboard warrior fans can get fucked too.

Yeah but this is poch at rock bottom. It took 6 years to fall apart but at its best we was the best team in the country playing the best football in the land. Mourinho at his best is still shit football and it all falls apart in 2 years.
Which was ultimately fruitless.

Dunno, but whoever it is, our material has to somewhat fit his philosophy

Bielsa or Allegri. Simeone if we can bribe an official in Madrid.

Anyone but Mourinho.

I think we need a kick up the arse right now and Jose would be the man to do it. With that said, Jose would want to make a lot of changes all in one window whilst Allegri I think would probably do more with what we already have.

Either way, it feels like we will need to make signings.

If it happens, you're probably looking at interim (interTim  ) until you can get someone to start in the summer. Which is why I'd still give Poch more time even if it takes him until in to the new year to find the solutions to this.

I don't personally want someone like Mourinho "because they're available now", nor do I want to watch his football. As I said the other week, he might well win things, some/most fans might prioritise that over anything else and I can understand that, but I watch football for the match, the 90 mins, primarily for entertainment and to see 'good football' on the parameters that I measure it on. Even with a successful outcome (winning trophies), I cant separate that from the process (the 90 mins of football) of getting there. But that's just me........

I still wouldn't make a change yet, but if it does then a starting point, for me, would be to filter managers on who plays high press, high line, possession based, tactical football.

Is there a option keep Poch but remove Levy and get new owners?

Poch has massively overachieved over the years with very little backing from levy. Levy has won 1 league cup in his tenure. He also didnt back harry redknapp when he had modric and bale in the team and now we are about to lose an incredible manager because the board only care about the profit and loss account.

Look at how Klopp was back the previous summer by liverpool to see how an ambitious chairmen who wants to win trophies behave.

But that's a debate for another thread.....

Why does this Eddie Howe nonsense keep coming up. Come on guys. Eddie Howe from Bournemouth?
He would be on a hiding to nothing coming to us. He has players who believe in him and the full backing of the owner.

I think it will be Mourinho. I think the problem we are going to have is a lot of the top younger managers in the game are at, at least big-ish clubs and will be hard to prise away midseason. A few other promising ones are out there too but I firmly believe we need a big name to help turn this around, at least in the short term, just because of the psychology of the players. And, well, Mourinho is available and I think its the kind of thing Levy would do. If he manages to turn us around and steady the ship, id be fine with that, while longer-term we look for a younger, more forward-thinking manager.

Which was ultimately fruitless.

It was. But I loved it. Those 2 title challenges were much more memorable for me than the 2008 worthington cup.

Football is about moments, I know trophies are the stick we are beaten with but I just want to enjoy watching high tempo exciting football. Watching us spank Real Madrid and city and utd. If trophies come along the way great but it really isn’t the be all and end all.

- Mourinho: Serial winner, knows the league, but I worry the game has moved on from managers like him. Also isn’t great at bringing through young players.

- Benitez: Tactically astute, also knows the league, but has cracked under pressure at times.

- Allegri: One of the best tacticians in the game, but has never managed outside of Italy. Favours pragmatic football.

- Rodgers: Plays exciting, high-intensity football and is good at incorporating young talent. Rebuilding his reputation at Leicester. Only ever won trophies in Scotland, however.
