He’s a complete douche. The way he celebrated his equalizer against Crystal palace the other year was fucking embarrassing. No thanks.

Yep - former Arsenal player who got outed in 2013 for cheating on his wife. Even if it is a short-term deal I'm not sure I'd ever be able to fully get behind him.
It's not like he's been an ISIS soldier or murderer. He's played as an mercenary for Arsenal (which is our rival and opponent but not our enemy like in real war). If that disqualifies him from playing for us (from our point of view) it makes things too complicated and stupid. But, if he's the right player for us, all considered his latest performances, is another separate but important question..

You lot are acting like he would be here for 5 years lol. He would be a 6 month to a year contract at most. I actually really liked Giroud at Arsenal, one of the only ones I liked. I always thought he was extremely underrated. Doesnt score tonnes of goals but his link it play is second to none. If we cant get our other options I'd take Giroud for 6 months over no one. I think he'd link up well with out attackers to be honest.

I'd take Giroud in a heartbeat. He ticks every box of what we're looking for, and once you've played for two of Arsenal/Chelsea/Tottenham, I really don't care anymore about any kind of rivalry were they to join.

Wonder if he needs a move to get playing time with the Euros coming up?

agreed I’m one who wants no tattoos, no egos and No philanderers in my spurs. We must be of the correct moral fibre to win trophies.

Do you think Chelsea and John Terry give a fuck about winning all their trophies despite the Terry and Bridge fiasco? If you want a perfect group of players to win clean trophies then this isnt the sport for you.

He's a world cup winning striker who also reached final of the euros. We are a team / squad / club that has shown itself to be lacking the ability to win games / trophies when they are there for taking so I'm all for adding a proven winner to the squad.
He absolutely fits the bill of what José is looking for so that's enough for me. He wants one last crack at an international tournament this summer so imagine how motivated he'd be to make it the move a success.

Now after saying that I will give £20 to SC if it comes off because I can't see Chelsea selling to us.

He certainly divides opinion.

Well for me I'd certainly take him. Criminally underrated throughout his career.

Will have something to prove and would make a huge impact with the way he plays.

Another Gudjohnson.

He’s 33 and can barely run anymore. He padded his stats against farmers in the Europa League last year. He has absolutely lost it, he’s a **** and wouldn’t be worth the wages or dealing with Chelsea.

Some of you have embarrassingly low standards.

We signed Woodgate and he's far worse than Giroud. Would be a solid signing.

He's a decent striker, that can bring in the likes of Alli, Son, Moura and Lo Celso. And it would piss of Chelsea and Arsenal fans simultaneously. I'm in
