What exactly is the alternative, especially with Lo Celso crocked? Dele, Eriksen, Son and Kane have only played a couple of full games together in the last six months, and one of those was the CL final where Kane was half-fit. There's no doubt the the four of them together are greater than the sum of their parts.
Eriksen is not the be all and end all. He is not playing well at all. The four you mentioned were very good together a few seasons but it is no longer as effective as it had been. Dele is not exactly pulling up roses either. Lamela has been on form and seems twice the player Eriksen is at the moment. Give him a run playing central behind Kane, add Moura and Son on either side, that to me is a very credible alternative as those four are on form. Where is the mantra that players should be picked on form and merit, or was that all just talk?

I was thinking about the performance against Olympiacos and it dawned on me that we are fortunate to have two well very thought of if not experienced International Captains from two major footballing countries, France and England in our squad. Surely they could or should be playing a part assisting Poch in motivating and encouraging the players through this bumpy ride?

I wonder if Chelsea and Liverpool supporters are having the same very critical analysis at their club on the back of one result .
I doubt it very much but some will say its the whole season up until now we have been poor.
Well if you are a long standing fan we are about the same level we have been in the Poch years of the past .
We will come good but for some unless we play like City every week they won't be satisfied those that have that view perhaps should switch clubs as most spurs fans are realistic in that the amount of money we spend we are in fact overachievers .
For myself I am convinced we will be OK this season and may even win a cup but with the mindset some have if we were to win a cup there retort will be "its only the cup" and why are we not winning the league or champions league.
For all that we have been really slow starters I still have the faith and having attended my first match in 1951 I can say that since Nicholson and Burkenshaw these are the best times to be a spurs fan but then I am an optimist and not a pessimist .
At least I am glad to be called a happy clapper as opposed to a misery guts .

We have everything in terms of infrastructure and players...Levy wont dwell....we are now a club of expectations not excuses....
not sure if this has aged well in the era of Mr. Mourinho.....Burnley or RBL the board must decide....

They should decide to sack the moaning git and get in somebody who actually believes in this squad and their capabilities. This is classic Jose toys out of the pram at the expense of the team.

Have I missed something? How has Jose thrown his toys out of the pram?
