Ok so we let him clear out all the players, start ANOTHER project, spend ANOTHER 5 years not winning anything and then when those players are sick of him what? Rinse and repeat?

Maybe there's a reason other than just bad luck that 7 or 8 of our players want to leave...

Yeah, instead let’s start the managerial rebuild again. Flap about, get the wrong man, drop further away, lose our best players. Rebuild to mediocrity and sack that manager and take 15 years to get back to just wanting to be top4 again.
If we’re lucky we’ll find someone who gets us back up there and we can start complaining about lack of trophies and not winning the league again.

I can’t wait...

Seriously though, I think I’m done with football if we chuck Poch. It’s just another shot in the foot and a huge backwards step.
Maybe some here are too young to remember the 1–3 year managerial rollercoasters we went through in the 90s and 00’s.

Poch needs to continue to build and be backed...that’s where our future glory lies in my opinion!

Even if Poch disagrees, I think Levy should employ a Director of Football (or whatever title is used ) to handle our transfers. We can’t just let the likes of Leicester at al, find some gems to improve their squads whilst we get also rans or fringe players like Aurier, GKN, Janssen etc.

So we may need to replace 2 CBs, Eriksen, a RB and a DM? Yeah I’m sure we’ll be able to get all that done..

The rebuild thing is nonsense. We already have a fantastic squad.

We have Sanchez and Foyth as young CBs to replace the Belgians who were Poch signings!! Yet they don’t seem to have kicked on.

We signed NDombele to sort out our CM. Our fullbacks needs revamping but Aurier was signed fairly recently and seems to have been a disaster and mismanaged.

This talk of rebuild is just excuses from Poch. Can someone tell me where in our first 11 we need to rebuild? Keep in mind we have GLC Sesssgnon and NDombele to take up 3 positions in the side?

I actually think we need to be prepared for the sale of Kane this summer. I can't say I like the idea, but he's our biggest asset and would bring in a large chunk of cash to be spent elsewhere. That will be the "painful" part of the rebuild, but with Jan, Toby and Eriksen going for free, we have no way of raising funds outside of the usual TV money.

He got far enough without top 4 investment saw us through the stadium build got to a CL final got to other finals league runners up. It's all nearly yet so far. We have players falling apart in front of our own eyes football is fast ( look at Liverpool). The rebuild should of actually took place when we missed out to Chelsea for the league and definitely since the CL final.

Man United Chelsea Arsenal ain't any much better so we really should start now.

I don’t think we need a painful rebuild as such, we just need to play 4-2-3-1 (or 3-4-2-1 if we have right personnel) and actually replace players properly for once!

We NEED a new right back unless Foyth magically becomes the answer as Aurier just needs to go, he worries. more about dancing in celebrations than doing simple things.

Left back not so simple as Rose has been good in games this season and not his fault expose in horrible diamond formation with no support, I’d get pissed off too if seeing manager being silly with tactics like this. Sessegnon is to be confirmed as well where he’ll end up. Although i said on here couple of summers ago I’d have been pushing for Robertson before he went Liverpool.

Sanchez needs to rediscover his confidence and perhaps should be playing over Toby now alongside Vertonghen, who can provide experience.

Midfield we need another attacking midfielder to replace Eriksen.

Up top we really need to sign a decent forward (preferably who can also play wide) to give Kane some more competition so he can actually be dropped if below par.

I'll never accept this. Of all the things that have happened at spurs kane leaving would be the most painful. If you want to sell a bankable asset we should have cashed in alli or Eriksen a season ago. You can't just find another Kane.

For LB, I'd love to have Matt Doherty. Quick, has an eye for both passing and crossing and does the defensive side really well.

Oh. I always thought he was a left-back. Bugger.

?

Let's get him in for right-back!

Lol I’d have him at right back, nothing like a good ‘ole Irish right back! ??

He can fill in at left back too but he’s right footed and we need a left for width and I’m just not a fan of inverted full backs.

I think we have the players, just need the coach to sort the mess out and get them back on track. They don't look motivated and the formation and selection is not doing us any favours.

I'm in favour of bringing back the 3 at the back formation. It's the best I've seen both Dier and Sanchez in defence they've been part of a 3. I think Dier is needed more at DM but he can still cover there. I'm willing to give him another chance in the squad.

When players are all back and fit I'd like to try this:

Lloris
Alderweireld, Sanchez, Vertonghen as back 3.
KWP and Sessegnon as attacking wing backs.
Ndombele, Lo Celso, Winks in the middle
Son and Kane up top.

Sanchez doesn't look confident in a back 2 and Winks would do better in a midfield 3 where he doesn't have to do as much heavy lifting and can keep the ball moving. You don't need a DM when playing a back 3 and a midfield 3 (think of Juve's successful Pirlo, Vidal, Pogba/Marchisio trio). You still have Alli, Eriksen, Lamela and Sissoko to swap in for those midfielders. Dier or Wanyama (if he's fit) if you're trying to protect a lead, but DM's don't quit work with a back 3. Sessegnon could excel in a marauding wing back role with less emphasis on defending because of the back 3. Moura backup for the strikers, of course.

That's the kind of thing that worked wonders for Juve for years and I could see us being able to do it. It's either that or we go to a 4-1-2-3 like this:

Lloris
KWP, Alderweireld, Vertonghen and Rose as back 4
Dier in DM
Ndombele, Lo Celso in midfield
Moura, Son and Kane up top

Main aim here is to have a dedicated DM to support the back 2 whilst the full backs push up. I don't think Sessegnon plays standard left back so I'd go with Rose here. The midfield 2 are allowed more freedom to create and keep the ball moving and an attacking 3 gives us bite up top. It's basically the City formation where Rodri/Fernandinho hold whilst De Bruyne and Silva in front keep the ball moving and provide for Sterling, Aguero and Bernardo. Although when you look at their players it's a world of difference! Still, that's the jist of it.
