Paris Saint-Germain have begun talks to sign Dele Alli. The Champions League finalists are hopeful of securing Dele before the transfer window closes after he was left out of Tottenham Hotspur’s last two match-day squads.

Would be so sad to see him go. However maybe he needs to go somewhere where he will be loved. He would be ace with Mbappe and Neymar and will go down like De Bruyne as a massive JM faux pas

He’s plateaued in the last 2 season if I’m being generous - hadn’t really kicked in from when he was 21-22. Also not sure where can fit in to JM formation
So many players for the same spot , lamela , Bergwijn, Ndombele, Alli - and at the moment Alli is the one out of form and has been for 2 years. We could get 50-60 m for him enough for a much needed centre back and striker ... sad to say as he was one of my fav players under Poch but hope it’s true. Would hate to see him elsewhere in Prem

The big problem with Dele in this particular team, is that he's only effective playing in and around the box, off the target man... arriving late in the box, linking up with lay offs, flicks and scoops etc. In that role he's fantastic... his goals and assists speak for themselves. But with Kane, Son and Bale, its hard to see him getting that opportunity. He'll continue to get game time at the point of a midfield 5, which he isn't really optimal at.

However, I wouldn't sell him at all... we have a mental fixture list, and next season will be worse with the winter World Cup coming. We will need all our best players to get through it all.

A loan would be good for all parties, really like him but he's still adapting his hand and doesn't fit perfectly at the moment.

Would be a bad mistake to sell Dele.

You could have said the same of Liverpool when they sold Coutinho, but only up to the point where they signed Van Dyke and Allison. Then all of a sudden it becomes a master stroke. Of course, it depends what we'd get for him and what we could do with the proceeds.

Oof tricky. He is capable of brilliant, game changing moments but then on the other hand, those moments aren't as frequent as they used to be. Could he recapture his early form? Certainly possible but on the other hand there are areas that do need strengthening so if we can get a decent amount for him, I could see why it would be tempting to cash in.

‪I don’t want us to sell Dele Alli but at the other hand we need a CB and Alli might not fit the system ‬

‪But the absolute minimum we should sell him for is 60M. He’s still only 24, has 4 years left on the contract, English, we’re a PL club, Levy, he’s showed how good he can be ‬

I hope he isn't sold. He's been poor for some time now but so was almost everyone else last season. The team lost confidence as did he, as well as struggling with injuries. Last season, when Kane and Son were out, Alli played out of position as the lone striker. He battled away in those games with no support. I want him to stay, get fully fit and show what he can do in a team with Kane, Son and Bale. We mustn't discard him too soon.

It is strange that he 'doesn't fit' under JM. He is must be pretty close to the copy of the 10 role Lampard played in JM's first Chelsea stint.
Attitude seems to have been raised on a few occasions recently but surely Dele is mature enough to see getting pulled at HT, dropped from the 18 today and the England squad is a wake up call to get serious and fully apply himself.
Maybe this has done the opposite and switched himself off. I did think Dier calling him a school boy in the Amazon doc pretty telling.
Interesting too the gravity he pulls, by the sound of the squad's reaction to him being dropped. This has got to be good though, no player is untouchable.

With this said, I don't think we should be selling him. Plenty of others that I'd sell before Dele to raise some funds. Fyoth, Rose, Aurier, Sissoko (possible sub, but why keep players just to bring them off the bench? touch not good enough for me). Don't think it will happen but Ndombele if we can get what we paid, we need more than 45minutes for someone on 200k pw. I'd take offers on Moura too before selling Dele,

No-one's paying £60m for Alli.

Hypothetical (obviously, as their value has been swapped over last two seasons) - would you accept Dele leaving if it meant we’d get Grealish (or similar level and type)?

I would actually try to get villa to take alli as part of a deal for grealish. Whether loan or perm. Alli plus cash.
