Agresti and Romano both saying purely image rights. So, as obvious as it is, that seems it be the problem. Not replacements blah blah.

Which is positive. That means that everyone is willing to make it go through except maybe the company with the rights.

If it helps at all - I know sometimes my "I work in an industry that sells multi-million pound assets" are annoying - but I genuinely did a deal two weeks ago that was literally dead the week before. "Insurmountable" was the word used by my client. Deal went through didn't it. It was a slight snag that needed some clever people to think for an hour or two. All the big deals I am involved with have last minute snaggles and agents panicking. The Real Estate press is hardly as big as the Football Rumours press, but things get leaked (deliberately and unintentionally) all the time.

I don't know if that helps. But until that final dong rings (hehe, dong) then I'd take everything fairly lightly.

Exactly. And similarly, one of my exes point blank refused to ever do anal ‘because it hurts too much’. But after much negotiation, which involved me showing her the size of my penis, she agreed to anal almost immediately.

Never give up hope.

If I never hear the fucking term "image rights" again in my life, it will be too fucking soon.

For all the kiddies out there, sorry Basil is swearing. He is drunk and agitated. (Ask your parents, or prob just your dad what that means)

Will be back to his old self tomorrow.

I do wonder if we mentioned a loan to overcome image rights, then Juve mentioned that a loan makes it difficult to replace, finances wise.

Possibly that's where the confusion comes as info leaks. No idea though.

I think the Spurs shop are getting pissed off with me for repeatedly ordering and then cancelling my Dybala 9 shirt.

IT has to be something more than image rights following IGI’s comment about Utd.

Its a whole mess, the company who owned Dybala's commercial rights before his current one are sueing him for breach of contract. So even if we did pay his current company to get his rights, under PL laws these rights would just transfer back to Dybala. Now if the court case finds Dybala was in breach of his contract, with previous company, we may well have to pay out again . Its a fucking mess.

Which leads us back to where we always knew would be the toughest stumbling block - in which case, I would imagine that everything is done bar sorting that out, or at least hopeful that is the case.

Possible.

Earlier years with Isco for example, it felt like they weren't that helpful trying to make the deal go through. This time it feels like Juve are actively trying to help us get him. Hopefully it can be worked out (should have done this earlier though).

Loads of ITK said image rights stuff can be sorted after deadline. I don’t understand why that would be the sticking point?

If Juve have FFP pressures to adhere to, want to spend money on a replacement, and can only sell 1 striker - who you gonna sell Mandy (at 33 years old) or PD for €75m?!
