So is this based on how fast Juve can get Icardi done? Domino effect.
1. Lukaku to Inter gets completed.
2. Juve and Inter agree in principle to Icardi deal. They can iron out the details after our window has closed.
3. Juve pull the trigger to release Dybala to us, probably loan with compulsory option, allowing image stuff to be dealt with.

PL deal sheet just has to show an initial agreement is in place, allowing extra time after the deadline to complete the deal.

That’s my take on it.
I think it will happen. Seems Juve have wanted to move him on all summer, and it’s widwly known they want Icardi, and that Icardi is not wanted at Inter. Now Lukaku is heading to Inter, it makes too much sense to let it fall down.

English clubs voting for window to close earlier than the rest of Europe is like Parliament voting to take no deal off the brexit table. We lose our leverage and fuck ourselves over. Madness.

Long shot I know, but stuck at work all day reading all this, and twitter is blocked here. Any chance when posting twitter updates, they're screenshot, as all I can see is a twitter URL, and then have to guess what it is by what ratings the post gets :)
In English please.

Stupid question but do we even need his image rights? How does that all work? And if he puts his whole hand over his face when he scores will that not cover it?

I reckon all this misinformation is a smokescreen. At 4.59pm, there's gonna be a Spurs Official photo with Sess, GLC and Dybala all smiling and wearing their Spurs shirts.

Unfortunately, I'll be dead through stress by 4.58pm.

I can see why they wanted it. Settled squads for the start of the season. However, it doesn't work when every other league closes at a later date. All deadlines should be the same IMO.

Still don't get that at all. They're obviously not going to buy someone from our league so why the rush?? Suspect a lot of journos are grasping at straws.

Because if they let him go, other clubs will have them over a barrel in respect of a replacement.
They will need to have replacement signed today, and not just an in principle one.

It could be a loan with a view/option to buy next summer (once the rights stuff is sorted) as someone mentioned earlier - one way to get around the image rights for now.

Given their expenditure and exorbitant wage bill, Juve must be desperate to get this done or else we'd never have got this far. Striker-wise you'd imagine Icardi is the one they'll go for but they have no reason to rush that deal - but they will need some cash in order to help pay for it.

I think it's all down to image rights and the next few hours will be a bunch of bods in a room trying to find a sneaky way round them.

The replacement thing only makes sense along the chain.

Juve may have an agreement in principle to sign Icardi and can do so at any point in next two weeks.

But Inter need Lukaku and that NEEDS to happen today.

So could be confusion on the replacement thing.

I imagine that this has been discussed at length so what I'm about to say could well actually be wrong, but I think it's to do with the fact that "image rights" is little more than a tax avoidance scheme and our own Revenue & Customs are not fans of it.
