Given their expenditure and exorbitant wage bill, Juve must be desperate to get this done or else we'd never have got this far. Striker-wise you'd imagine Icardi is the one they'll go for but they have no reason to rush that deal - but they will need some cash in order to help pay for it.

I think it's all down to image rights and the next few hours will be a bunch of bods in a room trying to find a sneaky way round them.
Maybe the icardi deal can only happen in the next two weeks, if inter get Lukaku. That could be delay on replacements. Makes much more sense.

We are in genuine transfer deadline day saga with one of the most famous footballers on Earth. Think of all the geysers of shit we've forced ourselves to get excited about over the years on deadline day.

Even if this doesn't work out, it feels like a whole new era.

Come on and Levy ??
How can a 4 word sentence not make sense?

My apologies if that is offensive, if English may not be your native language or you made a mistake, but I seriously can't work out what you are saying. Should the "and" not be there or should another word be before the and?

Gaffney is saying that he thinks something is "really off" about the whole Dybala deal. Off as in peculiar rather than "off". Just wanted to make that clear before people start self combusting.

Agresti says there's another meeting in the afternoon, and we know almost no one actually knows what's going on in the meetings, it's just a matter of wait and see I think

Because if they let him go, other clubs will have them over a barrel in respect of a replacement.
They will need to have replacement signed today, and not just an in principle one.
But if they're going for Icardi, Inter will be equally desperate to get rid now that they've shelled out 70M on Lukaku and have no intention of playing him. If it's beneficial to both parties neither has the other over a barrel.

Gaffney should stick to playing chavs in Eastenders.

Yeah I agree on this. Both teams need a deal as much as the other.

I meant ‘come on Mr Levy’ but I couldn’t be bothered to change it ?

The fact that no poster on SC has deliberately initiated a relationship with a Hotspur Way tea lady to get ITK is a fucking disgrace to this site's good name. Step it up.

I wonder if it was the case that Juve didn't want to lose both dybala and mandzukic and man utd looked to have agreed a deal for mandzukic before Us. However, I don't think mandzukic would want to go there and perhaps that's why we're back in the game...

I imagine that this has been discussed at length so what I'm about to say could well actually be wrong, but I think it's to do with the fact that "image rights" is little more than a tax avoidance scheme and our own Revenue & Customs are not fans of it.
There are loads of English based players whose image rights are "looked after" offshore, I have seen quite a few dealt with in Guernsey in recent years.

I wonder if at some point we'll press the button on Fernandes. If we replace Dembele (Ndombele) and Eriksen (assuming he goes, with GLC) then we arguably haven't really moved forward much.

Don't get me wrong, GLC and Ndombele are both fantastic signings, but I was hoping we'd add more depth.
