Tottenham have turned their attention to Brazil midfielder Paulo Henrique Ganso, 22, who could be available for around £8m from Santos, after missing out on Portugal's Joao Moutinho.

Tottenham have made enquiries about Santos midfielder Paulo Henrique Ganso as a January transfer target.

Brazil international Ganso, 22, could go for around £8m but has a complex third party ownership issue in his contract.

Sao Paolo and Fluminese could also move for Ganso but Spurs are also watching developments are missing out on Joao Moutinho in the summer.

All we can do is hope...nothing more. These great players are there for the taking, but it's all down to Levy. : (

I'd also really big in red could go for around £8 million(without bigging it in red) he could go for more.

I'm just gonna get this out of the way now.

"After 2-3 years of trying to bring him to Tottenham, Ganso has signed for Chelsea for a £57m fee." Levy out.

Someone explain this to me (And in what world we would agree to it):

Ganso, who is currently 22 years of age could go for around £8m, which is low given his ability, but has a complex third party ownership issue in his contract that could see the transfer fee bolster to around £30m if the deal is to be completed. The playmaker has a similar style of play to that of Kaka and was even used as his substitute during the last World Cup. With Ganso, cementing his place in the Brazilian squad, many have attributed the player to become ‘the next big star’.

Great player. Considering the complexities of the third party ownership I think we should delay any potential deal until Jan 31st in order to force their hand. WHAT CAN POSSIBLY GO WRONG?

I think I was so excited by the idea of Moutinho/Willian when they were rumored to be coming here was the composure/creativity on the ball that they offered. I feel like we have a few too many one-trick-ponies on the squad that don't really bring a bag of tricks that can end up in more open spaces and leaving defenders on their heels.

I don't know if I'm alone in that viewpoint, but I think a guy like Ganso falls along those lines where he can not only bring a nice end-product, but he can also put that little thought in defenders minds saying 'what's he going to do next...'

Also... I just want to mention that his name translates to Goose.

So....

We could have Goose, Moose, and Deuce on the same pitch....

My head tells me: "Get him and we have a real chance at Neymar too...and to piss on Internacional" But reality just slaps me in the face.... :( If only Levy lived in S. America...he'd get the best, no doubt.
