I am not against the players not taking a cut. (the NI and tax case the PFA state does hold up under scrutiny)
All that wage reductions do are benefit the shareholders, at the expense of everybody else.
However I would like to see across the board, not just in football, but all business, some kind of forced government sliding scale attachment of earnings to go to support the current situation, so all reasonably well off are forced to contribute.
Something like 5% of gross if earning 6 figures, 10% if earning 500k and 15% for those earning a million (with some way of making sure that dividends and other schemes where high earners avoid PAYE are contributing also), but only lasting through this pandemic
