Spurs have distanced themselves from reports that they have submitted a formal offer and it is also understood that manager Mauricio Pochettino – who worked with Coutinho at Espanyol – has not called the player, as has been suggested, to try and persuade him to join the club.

So in a crazy transfer market we lose money on Aurier. I don't rate Aurier but he's surely worth a lot more than half of Trippier.

Interesting he and the telegraph are putting this down. He did say Mourinho wouldn’t be sacked by Man U though and he was sacked the next day. Plus he was the one who said that Poch had a Real Madrid clause and wouldn’t backdown or apologise when I caught him in the lie on twitter.
