That's one of the reasons we don't win shit, cause we always looking to the future and not at the present. The mentality of the club is a problem.

I don't buy this. It's actually a very smart player purchasing strategy. Buy players who have an upward trajectory and sell on value. It's absolutely obvious and the only way a club like ours (with fewer resources) can operate.

The problem has been the selection of the players, which has been very, very mixed

He doesn't score much but I'm sure I've read on here that he's had far more shots on goal than Winks, despite ostensibly being So'ton's deepest midfielder most of the time. Not sure if that says more about him or Winks tbh.
Can't imagine he would have been the deepest lying if he was playing next to Romeu much. He rarely gets ahead of the ball.

It was almost always him and Ward-Prowse as first choice I believe. Romeu was very much the backup option of the 3. But yeah on the occasions those 2 played together I can imagine he'd be a bit further forward.

Romano and others premature it seems. I don’t think he’s as good as his reputation bigs him up to be on twitter, recall him being innaccurate on numerous other occasions. Just his ‘Here we go’ slogan has made his brand popular.

It's his birthday today.

He's technically a year older than when the fee was informally agreed, so we'll have to chip a bit off for that...

He just picks up on the big stories, says "here we go" and "deal inching closer" and then he's usually right because he came in so late in the game. He's an associate of DiMarzio, those guys have been running the same scheme for years.

Not too hard to be a better shooter than Winks, who must have the worst shot I have seen a Prem midfielder have, scored some decent strikes

You just know that will be brought up by the bald one to try and chip the price at the end!

So if the fees talk is premature why not pay them £25m and charge £22m for KWP? I'm sure our valuation of Kyle is linked to the Hojbjerg deal but we're not going to widen the gap by much.

He said that playing against someone so big and long was really difficult, he was hard to get past and hard to get off the ball.

I was expecting somewhere between a £10-15m difference between KWP and Hojbjerg, Even if Hojbjerg's price ends up at £20m, that's still good negotiating from Levy.
