This pretty much confirms he wants to move to us but we’ve not bid enough and that KWP and Hojbjerg will be separate deals

Yes. He'll get more time but hes not impressing me at all.

Are you serious?! Lo Celso has been one of our best players, he's class. Been playing through an injury the past several games as well. The other two can be upgraded, not Lo Celso. Ndombele may be one of the upgrades if given more freedom when we bring in a DM.

He's clearly carrying a knock and is doing the defensive stuff more than getting on the ball and looking to dictate.

That's all because he has Sissoko and Winks behind him and a real lack of balance.

Hoejbjerg - a proper DM to give the stability - and Ndombele - a player who can make better passing lanes, movement and forward play.

Give him a rest and a proper functioning midfield behind him before judging

Hopefully he can prove me wrong.

yeah except he can’t run, pass with intent or shoot ??? nearly forgot, he can’t tackle either ?

Agreed with the shooting part.
Not thinking he is a starter is one thing but nit thinking he is good enough to be in the squad is strange to me. I think he's great but know many that don't = ho hum

Winks playing further forward will be ace - cannot wait.
weened that deeper lying player so badly
Respect your opinion but I would have to strongly disagree. The further back Winks is the better. He is a strong squad player at best but shouldn't be starting next season if we get in the identified players. He loves the club and is always handy to bring on if we want to dictate play and see out a game but if we want to get back into that top 4, neither Winks or Sissoko should be in the starting 11.

Lo Celso is fantastic. Winks is good, but he's not working with Sissoko(as everyone else tbh)
I think we need 2 big signings in for the two deeper midfield roles as a priority. I dont think we can "see what happens with Ndombele" if we're serious.

Hojbjerg wont be able to play every game and could get injured.

Decent enough as a squad player but Skipp is the more promising of the two. Winks isn’t good enough to be starting week in week out.

Agreed, even if it means selling Tanguy. We need a guy who we can rely on from day 1, not someone who might be incredible but might not be arsed to run

For example a pairing of Hojbjerg and Soumare would be very good.

I'd even forgo signing a fullback to do it.

We need 3 hard working central midfielders - Hojbjerg, Lo Celso + 1. Squad wise as you say we would need 2 new central midfielders as Winks and Sissoko aren’t good enough.

Son, Kane, Bergwijn are all fantastic players and Moura works his arse off. However, it doesn’t matter how good these players are if you have a dull, weak and error prone central midfield as they will be both starved of possession and creativity.

Winks will be a good squad player, hes a passenger in this counter attacking system.

He frustrates the hell out of me as he can be tenacious but his passing is predominantly sideways or backwards. Look at Modric (yes I know he’s world class) but despite being a similar build to Winks you can’t get the ball off him, he’s got very quick feet, constantly looking to play progressive football. Having someone in that mould is better than the deadly (not in a good way) and negative combo of Winks and Sissoko. May be if Winks has a better play alongside him we may see glimpses of his form like when we played Madrid but for now he’s going backwards.
