The media (headed by SKY and a semi-redundant press still eager to impose some relevance) are always up for a frenzy around stuff like this - it reminds me of the racism lark at Spurs vs Chelsea - already condemned by a fervant public that are almost as prejudice and hypocritical to start with!

Nah not really, 99% of the thread is dog puns. I’m pretty sure no one really believed he filmed himself fucking a canine. Not one post from anyone actually slating him for bestiality. And the real reason for the sacking was posted a couple of weeks after the thread started (on the previous page). There was always going to be a thread discussing what was posted on twitter and for me personally as the thread starter, I made my thoughts clear on my 3rd post in the thread so my conscience is pretty clear. ?
What I find weird was that a statement wasn’t put out sooner once twitter exploded. I think most people would agree that his sacking was well OTT (assuming he didn’t use really derogatory terms for disabled people). I’d have released something much sooner and I’d be looking at suing the person who started the rumour. IIRC they didn’t just say ‘I heard that.....’ they said they’d watched a video with him in it and posted alleged screenshots.
Now if the subject matter was Richard instead of Bobby, I’d have definitely believed it.
