Seems like the inter rumour is gathering pace. Would be very underwhelming move for him imo. They are below us in terms of stature in recent years, play in a weaker league and are unlikely to challenge for domestic or European honours so what's the point
Sadly think he has painted himself into a corner where his primary targets and the step up challenge haven’t eventuated and even on a free don’t seem too interested. That leaves him with the choices of the next tier clubs and among that lot Inter must look decent. The guy needs to get his head straight and make a decision he has basically squandered the past year and at 27 he should be in his prime and needs to be settled and playing with some heart.

Just get this done fast and move forward. He has made up his mind.

Its sad really. Hes been one of our best players the last years. Could have become a legend. Now it ends on a negative vibe.

It seems like he wanted to take the next step. Real Madrid og Barcelona. Now he ends up in Inter (most likely). Im sure hell get a good pay off but im not certain its a step up for him. Inter is a big club, but premier league is better than serie a. And youll never know about some of these italian clubs. One year they are good then they crash and crumble for some years (milan, inter etc)

So thank you for the good times Eriksen. Now onwards. COYS.

They won't win serie A come on now. They'll finish CL places but that's it and like us havnt a hope in Europe unless it's the Europa League.

We were CL finalists last season and have been in CL more than them last 4 years so in recent history I don't get they're bigger than us.

If we can get anything for him in this window it’s a freaking miracle. We should be sprinting to the Bank if so.

stinks this is how it ends, but he just wants something different and I was prepared to lose him for nothing.

Turn him into Eze or Aarons and let’s move on.

Very sad as Inter isn't a club of our size and it may not be what he had in mind but we need to sell if the option is there to get a fee.

totally my view. 20 from a club we’re not competing with is as good as we could hope

While it would be nice to sell him for a small fee, it is worth considering that he only cost us 11M and his weekly wage is 80k or so. What put it in perspective was realizing that that is roughly 10k less than Arsenal is paying Musfafi and 20-25% of what they are paying Ozil.

For someone who made as many vital passes and goals as he did, he was a bargain. so while old Eriksen playing and staying is ideal, not a chance it is going to happen. Godspeed to Italy. And I hope we made it clear to him that if he doesn't leave in January for a fee, he is going to be sitting way more than he used to. We do have leverage with him and it is in the best interest of the club to use it intelligently, not vindictively.

I get your point mate but what players / agents look back that far. At the minute we have regular CL qualification in the richest league in world plus CL final last season, add to that one of the biggest names in management and based in London and we are a bigger draw than Inter.

I have been saying for a long time that spurs is his level, he isn't good enough for the top tier clubs in Europe and if he goes to inter that proves it as none of the top clubs are In for him. Actually feel a bit sorry for him as he clearly had his head turned by Madrid and thought they would follow up with the interest and they led him down garden path.

Surprised to see him end up at Inter but it’s got to the point where I just don’t care, want him out of the club and want a speedy resolution on this.

The fact that Jose said that Eriksen is part of his plans for Middlesbrough suggests that a deal is a still some time away.

We all bloody do man and to be honest I want him to go now just to get it over and done with. It's a shame that the last 12 months have damaged his legacy here so much and think if he stays longer that will only increase so best off he goes now and players like lo celso and Skipp can get more minutes

This is very much a 'rip the band aid off' scenario. Eriksen leaving is going to hurt us on the pitch, that's for sure, but for us fans and for the good of the team it's better to get him gone as soon as possible.

£18-20m for Inter is an absolute bargain, but it's also as good as we're going to get, and is more money we can spend on strengthening the squad with players that want to be here.

I think in years to come, we'll look on Eriksen like we do with Modric now, forgetting how it ended and remembering the good times instead.

Isn't it pretty common knowledge that he wants a move for personal reasons rather than footballing ones? If he does want to experience another league and a new country, Italy and Milan isn't a bad option.
