Aurier was either injured or had personal problems last year, still played in 17 of our 59 fixtures and the only error that lead to a goal was trying to clear a ball waist high with his foot instead of heading it. even then there was enough players that could of stopped the Burnley goal

I'd be willing to rotate them until January if he is fit before deciding on him just because he struggled in the 1st season and gave a couple of soft pens away, or are you going to hate Foyth because he gave 2 pens in 1 match

This. Aurier was actually pretty decent last season. Just struggled to shift his rash reputation among fans after a few moments in his first season

Someone must be in Eriksen’s ear about an imminent bid coming soon surely? I swear Madrid are probably whispering sweet nothings in his ear at night and they’ll bid low on the last day of the transfer window.
Id take a low bid for him. Anything, really. Quite clear he isnt signing a new deal, he doesnt want any part of being at the club anymore. Time for him to go. Get rid of him now. We’ll make do until January. Just hope we can get an incoming sorted out to come in early in January.

Nothing is clear. We hear nothing but speculation and either clickbait or page fillers for journalists. Wait to have the facts before jumping to conclusions based on the media.

Can we make a conclusion based on his complete lack of effort and desire last Saturday?

I don't disagree but January is a tricky window.

Yes, Aurier isn't good enough and KWP can't play every game. Im not sure about not put a foot wrong either but he hasn't been too bad. That said I think it's an area we can improve.

I'd take that Argentine international RB. Hes injured at the moment but he looks quality on the ball and is improving defensively all the time. What's his name again?

I've never known a situation like this, it's so weird. Both Eriksen and Alderweireld seemingly refusing to sign a new contract despite the latter being unwanted for £25m and the former apparently receiving no tangible, "we want you and only you" interest from other clubs.

There will be a queue of clubs in for them in January until the summer wanting them to sign a lucrative pre-contract. It's just good business for those clubs to wait at present.

Looks like he will sign pre-contract in January with somebody if we can get 100% of him until next summer get back into CL and maybe win FA cup I don't care what he does.

Eriksen one of my fav player but it does look like he has decided to go despite numerous rumour he had agreed a new 4 year deal.

Granted KWP has great potential and has performed well when relied upon.

But let's not pretend RB is not a pressing matter.

will have to agree to disagree. if Aurier can show his form from last season and not pick up any injuries, then him and KWP will be good enough till next summer and then review it

Only Saturday? Eriksen hasnt given many performances with an ounce of effort since January.

ok lets get this right, and if you can prove me wrong then fair enough, but other than Toby who I believe played 34 last season compared to Eriksen 35 our top appearances for the season, who out of the WC players really showed us what they are made of last season. thing is Eriksen effort wise last season looked poor as did most of the 11 returning from the WC, Toby had a good season, Son had a great season, so that's 1, but even he had some real howler games. Jan missed a massive period so wasn't as burnt out

The ITK's have gone very quiet on his new contract after some had said he would sign a contract when coming back from pre season tour, I now hold all most no hope on him doing so which is sad as I rate him.

Yup. Our problem last year was not having two Eriksens to cope if one broke down (or even to play at the same time if an abundance of creativity was tactically appropriate). Having Lo Celso and Eriksen in the squad solves this problem, and if Eriksen stays beyond the window (even if only until next summer) then we are covered for this coming season.

If he goes before the European window shuts then we've effectively replicated the problem we had last year and Lo Celso would be the replacement that would have been the first half of an incomplete double signing rather than the addition we needed in the squad alongside Eriksen (or a non-Lo Celso alternative).

I get your point but for me that's short-sighted.

It's putting the needs of this season above that of many seasons to come.

If we sell now we have an Eriksen hole but in 4 months the money to fill it (or another position of weakness).

If we let him go on a free we have an Eriksen hole and no direct money to replace him.

Just doesn't make sense to me. He could get injured tomorrow and we'd be without him for 4 months anyway.

It depends on the offer though. If it was a low-ball 20 million I'd keep him.

They confirmed week's ago that he wouldn't sign after he said he would.

This is what bugs me - not sure if it's a modern phenomenon or whether it's always been there but social media has made it more prominent but the sheer venom against some players - f#cking brutal.
