Support someone who said he wants to leave and has shown zero that hes going to help our team recently. Nah.

So pretty much 90% of our players then

You sound like those Arsenal fans who got on Ramsey's back when he said he wants to leave them.

Don't do that.

Don't be an Arsenal fan.

Maybe if we got behind him a little and show him some love he may get refocused and therefore helping the team, that's what we want isn't it, we want our players and thus and team to improve?

This is a bit childish really, we just need to accept that he wants a new challenge elsewhere but whilst he's here it would be a good idea to support him, that's all we have to do.

My opinion is, that he trys harder for Denmark than he does for Spurs. Just watching him tonight, seeing him run hard and work for the ball, compared to what I've seen him do this season for Spurs, makes me think that he needs to earn that support rather than just get it given to him.

It's not just him, Kane is running and trying more for England which tells me there's a problem at the club rather than individual players, could well be that things are stale at Spurs and we're in need of a refresh.

why is that beautiful? He’s still a Tottenham player and whether there’s even an ounce of truth in the rumours it could be contributing to the shit show we are currently seeing. I’m guessing you’re Irish but honestly fuck international football, TTID.

Yeah I don’t think it’s funny. I know why their doing it but it’s not clever.

He doesn't turn it on for denmark. He has played just as poorly for Denmark as he has for Spurs.
Yeah, he hasn't been great for Denmark throughout this qualifying campaign. He's posting the stats of a mid-table PL midfielder (big think emoji).

I don't know what's going on in his head. I suspect that not getting anything like the interest he expected in the summer has taken a psychological toll on him. But considering that he should be wielding a "shop window" mentality, all he seems to be doing is tanking his value.

Could he be mentally weak[1]? I can't imagine one of the hyper-competitive top players (e.g. our own Harry Kane) doing anything in response to rejection except redoubling their efforts.

[1] "Mentally weak" by pro athlete standards, which is still unusually strong to us normal people. You have to have a certain baseline strength to reach that level in the first place.

ETA: I didn't see that article linked about "disappointment" before making this post but it looks suspiciously like confirmation.

Doesn’t seem like anyone wants him

Well what the hell did he think would happen when he fucked off 6 months of the season(including a Champions League final) and has been fucking off since this season started? Not a surprise that clubs are looking and turning back. His attitude has been atrocious for the better part of a year. No big club is going to look and say “oh i want him” when you combine his inconsistency in general with his attitude.

Now lets see if José can galvanize him. At some point he’ll have to get over himself anyway.

What I half expect is because of the well documented little interest in Eriksen that he'll seize the opportunity to sort it out and end up getting a new deal with spurs using the poch/player friction as the reason he's been struggling.

I can't see him getting a new deal. He will leave and try something new. I might be wrong though.

Will be interesting to see if Jose plays Eriksen at all, limited or just freezes him out.

I can't remember if Jose is the freeze-out-guy? I think he is.

I’d be happy to never see him in a Spurs shirt again but I’d imagine Jose will put his arm round him.
