Well kind of what I meant, I've not noticed it personally.
Granted hasn't had too many games to go off but he's always looking for the ball & looks so composed on it. Reminds me so much of Bernado Silva & I'm sure will only get better with more minutes.

We're pretty much committed to him signing now, so don't for the life of me see why Eriksen who's all but gone is coming on ahead of him every game. The same Eriksen who's half heartedly going into challenges & panicking when under pressure giving the ball away. Made 1 nice pass yesterday to be fair to him but I'm done with him personally & want to see others given the chance.

I did see Eriksen make a tackle v Man Utd, although to be fair to him he'd only just come on, so I think he probably tried to jump out of it but mis-timed it.

He did actually try jumping out of one, luckily got the bounce and set us on the counter ?

I hope Mourinho says: Sign a new contract or train with the U23 without gametime until the summer. Then he's forced to leave in january (if someone still is interested considering how shit he has been).

He's not forced to anything to be fair. He has all the power..

True and I don't even think him not playing will affect him being called up for the Euros. He's too important to Denmark.

He is.

He's the biggest sports-person in Denmark currently, since Wozniacki just stopped her career.

It won't affect his inclusion in the squad. But 7 months without competitive football will surely affect his performance levels.

Well, maybe not forced, but if we put him in the reserves and he doesn't leave in january, he will lose like 8 months of competitive club football. Sure, he will play for Denmark in the euros. But it will surely affect his form. Or maybe he can't be more shit than he has been this season.

It isn’t a case of him just agreeing to leave in January, there has to be a team willing to pay a fee when they could just wait and get him for free in the summer.

If you wait until the summer you have to compete with the likes of Real Madrid and Bayern. If you move now, sure it might cost you a bit but there will be less competition so you might actually stand a chance at signing the player.

I think Eriksen is only interested in talking to the super clubs anyway, and they can all afford to wait till the summer.

It's got to be worth just letting him go to a foreign club now on a free. Saves wages, releases a player spot for a transfer and so would be worthwhile for a top club who need something new, and the likes of Bayern and Real are not exactly flying high. Still who knows what is really going on

He can talk to whoever he wants in January so they'd still have to compete with exactly the same teams.

Seeing as the pundit thread is closed I'll stick this in here, very interesting podcast.

I'm only 10 mins is but Jack Broke-Pitt who I'm pretty sure eats plants for dinner said that Danny Rose was close to joining Chelsea for £55m in Summer 2017 and we have tried to sell him every summer since, that's probably why he's sitting on his contract now.

Just moving this into here, regarding the bit early on of (paraphrasing) "I nearly swerved my car off the road when I heard Eriksen was on £80k/week - a player of that ability, it's no surprise he wants a pay rise".

One of the reasons I value these journos for their information but not their opinions - a lot of them are really dense, and not analytically capable - how do they expect he'd be on more than that? It's been 4 years since he last signed a contract, and he's apparently rejected several new ones. He could have been on twice that for the last 18 month, I bet.

Very true. I really hate journos writing about Tottenham, when they have no clue about Tottenham.

It has and was never about money for him, as you can clearly see.
