Is there a better left back in the prem? I don't think so, but then I'm unashamedly biased.

I dont think it's being bias to say there isnt, tbh. He is definitely the best LB in the league.
His main rivals in the league for the 'best lb' title are

Shaw
Bertrand
Monero (ok this one is a joke)

But I believe Rose is comfortably above Bertrand. And is currently performing above shaw. Shaw does have a promising future if he can stay fit and continue to develop.

However Rose is so perfect for our team and style! I wouldn't swap him for any

I still love just how much Rose has improved and turned around fan perception. I do think he is the best left back in the league at the moment, with Shaw probably his closest competition.

Yeah i couldnt believe i was debating with a guy on here a few days ago about Jan playing Lb and dropping Rose (no mention of Davies) ... outrageous.

Rose does make errors at the back. However, Poch and most Spurs fans believe this is outweighed by what he gives us going forward and therefore we are pleased to have him in the team. In selecting the England team Sam will have to make the same decision.

yeah he does but i guess it depends on what kind of left back you want. His major errors usually come from the fact that he has to push so far up the pitch to add the width that he might get caught out on the break. Walker has the same kind of issues as well.

Tottenham sweat on Danny Rose's fitness after he plays through the pain for England

Tottenham are sweating on the fitness of Danny Rose after the left-back played on with a hamstring injury for England against Slovakia.

Rose felt his hamstring midway through the 2018 World Cup qualifier, but thought he was okay to carry on and managed to complete the game, setting up Adam Lallana’s stoppage-time winner.

Spurs, however, now fear Rose may have suffered a strain that could keep him out for up to three weeks and see the 26-year-old miss the first Champions League game against Monaco at Wembley next Wednesday night.

In the Premier League, Tottenham face a tricky trip to Stoke City on Saturday and entertain Sunderland after the Monaco match, with Ben Davies on standby to deputise.

It is unclear whether or not England manager Sam Allardyce and his staff were aware of Rose’s problem, or whether the defender took the decision to play on into his own hands.

His improvement has been nothing short of amazing.

One of the best fullbacks in the league and best at the club by some distance.

Well done Danny!

Pochettino and Davies are the best things to happen to Rose. A very good coach to help him and then adequate competition to push him.

I love Rose, my favourite thing about him is his tenacity and confidence in himself. I don't actually think he's amazing going forward, thinking about Davies coming in for him if he's injured doesn't lead me to think we're suddenly offensively hampered on that side. A lot of succes as a full back going forward is about off the ball movement and you don't need to be lightning quick to get in behind if your timing of runs is good.

His passing is far better than Rose and he's a more intelligent footballer. Not saying Rose isn't a better LB and losing him is a blow, but Rose is far from perfect and Davies is more than an adequate replacement.
How is he a more intelligent player?
