agree deli lost his mojo after he cut his nasty streak out needs to find it againFor me the kid has lost his way a little bit poch was his mentor I think Jose is not that, He is a winner so shape up or ship out is his attitude towards players! Like many said sale is a special talent but needs to play on the edge a little, being a bit nasty at times something we all wanted him not to do and branded him immature for
I could see him in the role Kane played on Sunday, sitting a bit deeper a setting up Son and Bale. However, he would then become a second string player (plus he's not as good at it as Kane). I think he is too slow in his play for what we are looking to do. Massively talented so I hope it works out for him, either here or elsewhere.IMO, the problem with Dele is mainly that he wants to occupy the same place in the team as Sonny. Early on, he frequently started and Sonny came off the bench. That has now turned around and Sonny has proven himself the more reliable asset. Apart from that role there isn't an obvious place for him now unless we have an injury crisis. If we could get a big fee and use it to strengthen in key areas I'd be OK with him going.
Your correct........didn't the media have something to do with thatagree deli lost his mojo after he cut his nasty streak out needs to find it again

Big fan of Dele but I think he needs a new challenge. Can he turn around 3 years of poor form and become the force which he once was? I'm not optimistic. I have become increasingly frustrated in his performances as of late, the slack passing, shocking ball control, lack of pace and flicks. He needs to play in a team where he can sit behind the striker and make late runs into the box, I don't think we're that team anymore.
Three years of bad form? What is this, it's like every few days we add another 6 months of bad form. It's madness.
He's not been where he was previously for the past two seasons. There was a flash last year, that faded basically as soon as Kane got injured. Before that, there were multiple injuries. He got injured at the World Cup, rushed back for England, then rushed back for us with no break. Then picked up more injuries.
It's also worth bearing in mind the context, not just for him but all of our players. The 18-19 season, despite heroics in the CL, we were poor. After Dembele left the team struggled, Eriksen's head was gone, numerous injuries again, worse and worse football. Sissoko and Winks becoming the mainstay of midfield. This then continued into last season and then add in the manager change, injuries and covid, it isn't surprising that many of our players, not just Dele have had a two year period that hasn't lived up to previous performances.
You can't just look at his performances in isolation, when you're comparing him playing in a settled team with Dembele behind him, and Eriksen alongside him, to Sissoko and Winks. Of course he's going to struggle.
Sorry to single out your post, @WOTspur, just think the poor form thing is far too simplistic and reductionistic a way to look at it.
We’ve always loved a scapegoat, Jenas got all sorts of unfair stick. Dele at his best ie playing close to Kane as an old style inside forward is a top class player. I really hope he responds positively to this wake up call

Jenas was good occasionally. Showed so much promise but never became the player he should have. Side note tho, he is a brilliant pundit, which tells me he had the right football brain but never translated it on the pitch.
Spot on. I'd only add that his "dip in form" also coincided with being asked to play a diffeent role, to take on more defensive and ball-carrying responsibilities after Dembele's departure. Of course his goals and assists would dip.Three years of bad form? What is this, it's like every few days we add another 6 months of bad form. It's madness.
