I hope people watched his post match interview. That's a sincere Tottenham player who wants to turn this around.

Today he played well given the shower of shit performance in the end, but he apologised to the fans for the team performance and point blank refused to accept players injured as an excuse for the performance.

Also said its not about picking out individuals and then went further to say its about each person looking at themselves first before looking to place blame.

He worked his socks off today

He obviously cares and worked hard enough. He has a thankless task on his hands playing up front - constantly battling and chasing
He can't do this role. He needs a striker alongside him, so it's not worth playing him at the moment. He looks like he's trying hard but it's all running into blind alleys.

He cant but he is doing it for the team. It also doesnt help when all he is doing is either chasing the ball or getting the ball and waiting an eternity for support because the others are still catching up with play.

If only Mourinho would actually believe in the team and build their confidence up instead of shooting it down constantly

He has given up on the season, and he's convinced a lot of fans that we can't play better than this.

Good on Dele for speaking up and refusing to continue making excuses

It's the most mature thing said by anyone at Tottenham in the last 12 months. It's the stuff that needed to be said. I hope Mourinho actually listens to that and learns

I'm glad he does say that as sometimes his actions on the field look like he is first to place blame at others. And I'm happy he busted a gut today, but needs to play with more intelligence.

Wasn't the worst one today, and he did actually seem to care and worked hard but he HAS to stop with the flicks already and stop losing the ball so carelessly. He will be an order of magnitude more help to the team if he could just tone that stuff down.

Love Dele and think he is trying hard but the current setup isn't playing to his strengths (or possibly anyone elses!)

Dele has bought in, think Jose trusts him. More importantly I still believe in him. Bar the idiotic mistake off the pitch a little while back think he's matured on the pitch this season and yeah I am aware that people won't agree with that and that's the point, we all view players differently.

Still glad he is our player.

Agree with this but he did take an awful lot of punishment from behind every time he recd the ball with his back to goal, how on Earth nobody got booked for this I don’t know.

He is the least of our worries. In a better team he would be superb but there is very little he can do at the moment.

It's a mystery, they were fouling like Citeh do, in rotation.

Nice to see three Tottenham players at the top of the list.

This stat makes you stop and think:

Dele Alli is the youngest English midfielders to reach 50 Premier League goals:

23 - Dele Alli
26 - Frank Lampard
26 - David Beckham
27 - Paul Scholes
27 - Steven Gerrard
Yes it does make you stop and think that four of them are midfielders and one is a second striker.

Dele is now a second striker? Was he that when we signed him? I miss all the important position changes.

Good comments from him too:

Dele Alli apologised to Tottenham's travelling fans for the defeat and the performance in Leipzig.

"I have to apologise to the fans," he told BT Sport. "They've travelled all this way and to lose like that. It's the mentality, we were second to a lot of balls and to concede those goals in that manner just shows the mentality wasn't strong enough.

"You have to look at yourself first before you start blaming anyone else or blaming the team. I'll do that and I'm sure a few others will as well because tonight wasn't good enough. We can't hide, it hasn't been a nice season for us but we have to keep fighting. We're in a bad situation and we're the only ones who can turn that around."

Watching his top ten goals almost makes me feel sad. Look at the playfulness, the ages of time he has to pick his moment, the calmness of finish. If I were Jose I'd tell Dele to watch these goals every single day so he never doubts what he's capable of.
