Agreed. Would love to see Ndombele further up with less defensive responsibilities personally. He's a tricky player with good feet and an eye for a pass. Could potentially be special there IMO.

He'd do more damage in a deeper role IMO, being able to beat a press and accurately passing to a forward is something not many teams have.

True. I think for the time being I'm not sure we can benefit as much as we should be able to from him sitting deeper though. We don't have defensive midfielders to cover for him and I'm not sure he has the desired work rate for that role yet. Maybe as part of a three but I'm guessing (as I can't quite remember well enough) that he's been in a midfield three for us before and not greatly shone but maybe we can't quite provide the right personal for that midfield three yet.

I think if we get a proper DM and Ndombele sorts out his mental/physical issues this would be his best position long term.

In the short term I think he'd have to be the most attacking of a midfield 3 as we can't afford to have him him leaving gaps and not tracking back given our leaky defence/lack of DM.

after reading the transcripts of his statement i can see why it was only 1 game ban. The absence of the coughing sound on the video made this far worse than intended. Very silly thing to do though soo 1 match seems fair.

Jose will 9 times out of 10 go for pace either side of Kane did it in all the games before the injuries! Deles position is now either the 10 or one of a midfield 3

I think this is a good thing to be honest, yes Alli gets goals and links up with Kane but doesn't really fit into a 4-3-3 5-2-3 or 4-4-2 as don't rate him as a normal CM or winger as part of a front 3

Used to be but has been England’s media darling and often described as best player too fir the last 18 months or so. I think he’s a nasty little ****, I was begging for Hugo to deck him after his dive and that tackle should’ve been a straight red. Then there’s the whole assaulting of Gomez, a young England novice, as soon as he arrived at training.

Piece of work is Raheem, makes Dele look like Mother Theresa.
