Dele has something that alot of players will never have and that's the "spark". I know it's cliche but those sort of players can be hard to come by. If Jose can find a way to get the best out of Dele we have a fantastic player on our hands.
I agree. Dele has the feisty way about him, when he is on form to bring to the team. Over to you, Jose to see if he can get DA back to the level he was around the time he scored the amazing goal at Crystal Palace.

I would love to have that body when I was a teenager! But I actually never knew anyone who does back then!!

Jeez, there a kids at my local athletics club that look better than than. Faster, stronger than fitter than him as well and they are still growing.
He himself has said his body can't do what it used to do. Maybe he's just a pussy.

Of course, he has to put his little baby workout onto Instagram for the world to see. How about he get his head down, do the work and focus on football not social media?
People give him far too much slack IMO, he would not make the starting 11 for most top teams but our fans act like he's the young Ronaldo because of 1 good season 3 YEARS ago. He's been dog-shit ever since.

It's not feisty, it's sulky, constantly throwing his hands up in the air when he loses the ball. Looking at other players as though it's their fault. He's got an attitude problem and thinks he's better than he is.

Jose hasn't even picked him once Lo Celso, Kane and Son were available. Even when Gio was carrying a knock he still started him ahead of Dele. He doesn't rate Dele nearly has highly as some of our fans do.

  • Jeez, there a kids at my local athletics club that look better than than. Faster, stronger than fitter than him as well and they are still growing. This is just a lie isn’t it...
  • How about he get his head down, do the work and focus on football not social media? Yup, all that non football related public eye stuff really hampered Beckham, Cristiano Ronaldo, Ginola, and so many others. Really he should be downing pints and getting spending his free time betting at the races like all the proper pros used to.

Na, it's not a lie. Clearly some of you think he's in great shape, i don't and i look at him on the pitch and see a player who doesn't have the speed or athleticism to play in a top team. Which is why he isn't in one.
Beckham, Ronaldo, Ginola all came up before Instagram and i suggest they were all better athletes than Dele will ever be. He isn't blessed with natural physical ability so he has to work harder.

Fans just love him for 2016/17 they seem to forget he's been garbage since then.

It might not be a lie, to be honest.

But how many of them can time a run into the box, hold off a defender or two and sweetly connect with a half volley past a professional keeper while they're running the hard yards and getting kicked about?

Other than great shape not really having that much to do with what you look like, and you seem to be making a lot of assumptions based on pictures, thankfully speed and athleticism are a lot easier to improve than actual footballing skill (which your athletic club friends don’t even come close to Dele).

I assume all the professional coaches, fitness instructors and nutritionists he works with in training don't have a problem with his physique. He isn't some guy that's just turned up from elsewhere in shit shape like Ndombele, he's been working with all those coaches for 5 years. But I guess you know better than all of them.

Today I learned that being fit, slim, muscular and athletic makes you a pussy and undesirable.

So I can now sit here with my manly body and be happy with myself.

That's his job and if he did the above more consistently his lack of pace, athleticism and physical strength wouldn't be such a factor would it.

Becks and Ginola were modelling on catwalks, and Ginola made shampoo ads, while Cristiano Ronaldo’s Instagram is pretty much the template the rest of these guys follow. Ginola also loved a cigarette.

Criticise Dele’s form and how he’s developed all you want, there is good reason to as, like most young footballers, he’s definitely floundered a fair bit the past couple of seasons, but criticising his professionalism or athletic is a perplexing avenue to go down, both are exemplary.

Oh, and fans also love him for 15/16 and 17/18. Even in 18/19 and 19/20, where he’s admittedly dipped a lot, he’s given us more than a few really wonderful moments. He’s just had injuries and a loss of confidence. Still 1 in 2 for combined league goals and assists last season.

Na don’t you know his local athletics club is where Messi, Mbappe and Figo were scouted at.

Well the manager seems to think like me which is why he never picked him at all once his other main players were fit. Could that be because he can see Dele for what he is, a luxury player without the strength, speed and athleticism needed at the highest level?

Haha

Give it up chaps. When there’s no mitigation or concession you know what you’re dealing with and you are wasting your time presenting reason as an argument

I wouldn't say exemplary, that's probably over-stating it. It's his performances on the pitch that are the real issue. I think he's better off doing a bit less social media stuff. Clearly others don't.

His performances on the pitch aren't really that bad, and his problems comes from hamstring. Didn't know that you can pull hamstring by using Instagram or making clothes

What a fucking ignorant post!
Speed has never been one of Dele's assets but to question his fitness and athleticism is ridiculous. He's clearly fit and you can't question his effort.

I guess haters gonna hate.

His problems come from not being tough enough mentally or physically. Also his inability to fit into tactical systems that don't allow him have a virtually free role as a number 10.

Fannying around on Instagram and fashion modelling don't help either of those as far as i'm aware.

You sound like an agent, psychologist a nutritionist and a personal trainer, clearly your skills are wasted posting on SC, you have talent - there's money to be made out there big man.
