Disagree. Imagine if your boss told you that you aren’t working hard enough at the job and you laughed.

Somebody who is driven and wanting to improve would ask questions about what they can do better, take the situation seriously and push on.

My boss probably wouldn't call me a **** though (or ask me to be one, for that matter).

Mourinho knows Dele's personality and crafted his challenge to him based on that personality. His jokey style didn't transfer to Aurier, for example. From what Mourinho suggested at the start, he was happy with Alli's responses to the pokes.

Even as a huge fan of Dele it's hard to justify his place in our starting lineup. Only place I could possibly see him is as a box to box with Lo Celso and PEH in a 3 man midfield but a fit Ndombele is much better.

We can't play a CAM and build our team around someone who has been meh for a couple of years now and even if we want to be fluid and play a CAM occasionally Kane, Bale, Lo Celso, Ndombele and probably even Lamela are better there on current form.

Wouldn't be upset to see him moved on but would be gutted that he didn't fulfil what we all believed was his potential.

Don’t really want him to go, but a big fee that’s reinvested properly would be a big help in me getting over it.

If we need to raise cash for a ST/CB, etc

Out of interest, would people rather sell Dele or Tanguy?
I think we are fairly stacked in deles position, whereas a performing tanguy offers us something different.

100% Dele.

If Tanguy can get fit and become a regular part of the first 11 he's one of the best passers in the league and a genuine source of inspiration. Plus he naturally fits into a 4-3-3/3-4-3 much better than Dele, and I think these are the best systems for us given the makeup of our squad.

Much as I hope he’ll come good if we can get a good fee for him that ca be immediately re-invested, at this moment in time I would take it.

I hope he proves me wrong but we desperately need a centre back and probably another midfielder and might not have luxury of him waiting to come good.

No idea where Dele fits in that PSG team, by the way - they already play with about 5 nailed on attackers in their XI.

Always odd that Fergie and Jose referred to him as a lazy trainer. Yet Poch always picked him and he was the one who said players signed to train.

I don’t think we’d be able to shift him for the money we’d likely want.

personally I’d happily let him go as I don’t think his attitude is up to it.

He has to knuckle down and fight for a place. Train harder, show the manager why he should be playing.

No one has the right to be picked. The ball is in his court.

I don't particularly want him to go unless it's a very good offer, but I certainly don't want him to be anything more than a squad player if he does stay. He's not good enough to be starting for a top team IMO.

We need to keep Dele unless we need the money or a big club what him and he gets the chance to play at the top table in European football. I believe he is a top, top player but not sure JM is the right manager for him ... I hope though that Dele fulfils his potential

Let them figure out that problem. Dele will figure out whether he wants to be a midfielder or a second striker when Mbappe is telling him “reste dans ta putain de position” three times a game

If we sell to PSG we need a Madrid esque buy back clause and get a top CB and back up striker with the money.

I get what the problem is.

Dele has always been a 'game winner' type player. He scores game winning goals. He doesn't really battle for the ball in midfield, he isn't really a creator, he's your "striker in midfield" type.

Issue is that he's not been consistent enough for years now, so...
- He's not good enough to be a forward, so he's not getting in ahead of Kane.
- Do you play him ahead of Son? No.
- Do you play him ahead of Bale? No.
- Does he offer anything that Bergwijn or Moura don't? No - he's no wide player tbh.
- Does he offer the creative magic of GLC or TN? No.
- Does he offer the aggression and pressure of Lamela? Not really no. No where near enough of a "win at all costs" player, which is quintessential Erik
- Is he good enough to sit in front of the back four? As we saw often for England, no.

So I can see how he's just a bit... redundant now. Harsh but he just doesn't really fit in without affecting the other 10 players in the lineup tbh. That wasn't the case when he was 21 or 22, but he has gone a bit mild since then.

Be ridiculous to let him go! I think lingard is lazy journalism
As the fact is that Jose keeps talking about balanced squad and having too many att mids so if he goes we’d buy a different position. Lucas for me would be the sacrifice but there you go.
