He was shockingly poor today. I really hope he doesn’t play for us again.

Skipp was much better and should be our left back for the rest of the season.
He was bad today but the tactics that’s left him so exposed is one of the reasons too.

I doubt skipp would have done much better with the amount of times Emerson was left in 2v1 situations during the match, even just going 1v1 with Salah, skipp could have given away a penalty if not for the offside.

Thought he looked better than Porro in preseason and was surprised that he was dropped from first team after Brentford game. This season he was mostly used as LB and CB, we have many players who look worse playing in their natural position.

Anyone know what sort of wages he's on and thus how tough it might be to find a buyer in the Summer?

You don't play a right footed player at LB. That is still no excuse for one of the most abysmal performances I've seen in years. Arguably to blame for three of the goals he doesn't seem to possess any semblance of spatial awareness.

To add to this train wreck we then have Skipp chugging in after Emerson was hauled off. I was hitherto unaware that he's a LB. Really? I mean fucking really?

Maybe I ought be ranting in the Ange watch thread.

Anyway, rather than plonking Skipp at LB -essentially our FOURTH choice - why not go to three at the back and flood the midfield. Or is that too simple for Ange? God only knows.

3 at the back and pushing Porro up seems sensible. Plugging in a guy whose career experience at LB is 30 minutes is a roll of the dice. Not taking away from Skipp he did a good job but we have three big games to finish off the season positively.
