Sad, sad times we live in if Bale goes to China at this stage in his career. Guy is a gem of a footballer and shouldn't be anywhere near a league of that standard yet.

How much money does ond need ffs. And all this bollox of sampling a new culture ?

Come on, he still needs to build the other 15 holes of Augusta in his back garden.

He only has exact replicas of the 3 Amen corner holes at the moment, so can totally understand why he needs the money.

I gather, from other posters, that the Chinese gravy train has been derailed. The maximum wage is now something in the order of $54k per week. I'm sure someone will correct me on the amount.

This isn’t the first summer transfer window where there’s been this stand off between Bale & Real Madrid.

You could argue last season that he should move for football reasons. If he doesn’t move this window then his desire for cash over playing the game is undeniable, he’s just chasing the pound note. Not judging him for that, but the ball has been in his court for over a year now and he chooses to stay, end of.

Experience a new culture? How can he experience a new culture when he can’t walk as a free man in the streets without guards, and has to live protected in a fortress anyway? This is about money and laziness if he goes to China or US instead of Spurs or PL in general.

Barnet’s done an interview on a YouTube channel with 80 odd subscribers, weird.

basically plays up the fact bale has ‘a very nice life’ in Spain and very much doubts he’d come back to England saying a club would have to make an unbelievable offer for it to happen.

If the agent gets a percentage of Bale’s salary, his primary concern will always be to maximize those wages.

End of? If only that were true.............I love it when someone is, or could be wrong and finishes a post with 'end of'. Quality. Then someone will rock up, prove you wrong and next time around, you'll still use 'end of' again :D

Here's some quotes from Bale himself

"I tried to leave last year but they [Real Madrid] blocked everything at the last second," Bale told Sky Sports.

"It was a project I was excited for last year but it didn't materialise. And there have been other instances but the club won't allow it or something, so it's up to the club.

"I want to play football. I'm still motivated to play football. I'm 31 but I'm in great shape still and I feel I've got a lot to give.

"We'll see what happens. It's in the club's hands and they make things very difficult to be honest."

Asked if he would like to return to the Premier League, the former Tottenham player said: "It's not really in my hands. If those options arise, it's something I'd look at for sure."

"Time will tell and, mainly, the decision is in Real Madrid's hands."

So at the very VERY least, things aren't as certain, simple or cut and dried as you think. Or are we just believing the one side of this

Why oh why can’t we just let this go. He doesn’t love us anymore. It’s like pining after a hot ex girlfriend after many years apart. Sure, she’s still go it, but time has passed, she’s got a few grey hairs. Even if you get back together, it won’t be quite as good. Yes there could be fun moments, an exhilarating climax or two, maybe ?

She’s still going to have annoying habits like wiping her eye make up on your white bathroom towels, leaving sweaty hair bands next to the bed. All the time you know she’s been around the block with a bunch of Spanish guys. Makes me feel dirty. No thanks. Move along please...

I think he will be rid of Madrid but I just can’t see us being his destination.

Neither do I, but I don't think he's going to have a huge number of clubs to choose from. In the Premier league City and Chelsea probably don't need him. Man Utd might be interested, but it probably depends on Sancho. Liverpool might be interested, but they've said they won't spend big this window. Would he go to Arsenal? I wouldn't rule them out. Looking at the European clubs PSG & Bayern probably don't need him. Juventus have got Ronaldo. Would he team up with him again? I'm not sure Real would want him to go to a rival Spanish team. It's going to be interesting to see where he goes.
