He's got previous for carrying a Spurs team and pulling goes out of his arse to win us games we shouldn't have, so he'll probably do just fine if he comes back, which he won't...

I disagree with you all. It's not about positions. Getting a somewhat decent midfielder or left back is not going to change the team. Getting one of the best players in the world would.

The gamble is whether Bale can be the player he used to be. IF he is, he would take us to another level. I don't think we would have lost today with the Bale of old in the lineup.

Hopefully that means Levy's wobbly, uncertain finger slams down on the trigger with purposeful might lol.
Whilst I agree with what Bale could bring, it's no use if we are limited with our spending and are putting most of it on him when we severely lack guile and control in midfield.

Unless of course we bring in Bale as striker and then put the CF money towards a CM instead

Bale ain't the answer to this cluster fuck. Jesus christ, we need players that are desperate to play. We didn't look like we had any today, and Bale hasn't shown a love for playing for a while.
If the team were in a better place, I'd be all for it. But they ain't. Decent LB, a CM that can actually move the ball forward. And a striker, all bigger musts for this club.

Get him now, and while you are at it DL get Madrid and Eriksen back then we might have a midfield who have some ability.
