Lads - this is the business world.
I drafted a set of documents based on an agreed set of heads of terms and sent them out on Monday. I got them back with a load of amends this morning.
None of those points are dealbreakers - and the deal will still happen. But there are commercial points for the principals to discuss and agree on.
This isn’t any different to that.

Makes sense. A Spurs mate who doesn’t read this website refuses to believe media reports that Bale is signing, saying he’s been hurt too many times in the past over transfers. He’d explode if he was on this site but the signs are positive

Fwiw, and maybe this is just a self defence mechanism, I’d have been utterly amazed if if this deal had gone from breaking publicly to completion in just a day. Frankly I’m amazed we kept it quiet until the deal was so far along that the likes of Barnett have been making pretty strong statements about its likelihood considering the magnitude of the transfer and the global interest it brings. Look at the Utd situation with Sancho and Chelsea with Havertz. Those are dragging or dragged for literally months after breaking publicly because the media caught wind almost immediately.
We appear to have kept it shtum until most of the major details were already either agreed or at least there was a common mindset about what the end result should look like. I’m just glad that we’re only going to have a few days of this tension rather than a month.

To be honest Trix still comes across as confident so no worries there. If anything the fact there is some goalposts and things are not on the ropes then that's another good sign.

Why is this transfer happening? There are three reasons: 1) Bale wants this. 2) Real want this. 3) Spurs want this.
