Darren Lewis talking absolute sense on SSN right now. Telling it how it is...if United sign Bale “it’s a measure of their ambition”. If Spurs sign Bale, people question the signing.
It does not surprise me that he is challenging the hacks and their narrative. He and his family are Spurs fans.

Fans thinking we cant have 2 stars in the lineup without someone getting upset.

I'm sure Harry is licking his lips at the chance of playing along side Bale......

Hold up, Anything you wanna say about sighing Bale :troll: :ROFLMAO:.

I promised I would buy 3 Bale shirts if it officially happened.

Now its done, I have ordered my 1st, the home kit with Bale 9, next one after pay day.

His first words in that BT interview included being somewhere he is loved. Happiness and mental health is so understated. You can't expect a miserable player to perform at the highest level consistently. He also stated he hopes to win one (or maybe TWO) trophies this season.

I think he is a liverpool fan but he has always been relatively fair to Spurs compared to the likes of that **** Holt.

One of the better journalists out there.

Two things I wonder about: All you who where negative regarding a Bale return (“all his injuries, not the same player anymore, his salaries” etc) when this felt not very realistic and likely not long ago, are you still sceptical about this, or do you feel differently about it now?

I’m still thinking about an option to make it a permanent deal or continue with a loan deal for the 21/22 season. There isn’t any info or rumours on this yet, right? I think that if both Bale and us are lucky, he can have 2-3 really good seasons left for us now.?

I must admit when this first looked possible, I was quite pessimistic. Klinsmann, Sheringham, Mido (everyone except Defoe?) all were beloved in their first stints but never the same quite the same when they returned. I think Bale will be the same. Not saying he'll be useless, but just not the player we sold. Expectations will be so high, it will be almost impossible for him to live up to it. A 75% 2013 Bale is still quite a player though.

However reading these pages over the last few days, the unanimous euphoria and jubilation has been so infectious it's completely taken me over. It's been a joy to read. I'm 100% in at this point. I'm seriously considering a Bale shirt.

has anyone thought the buzz Kane must have from this he was at Spurs as a youth player when Bale scored that hat trick in Milan and went on to become the absolute supernova he was in his last year here. Kane must have idolised him and managed to get what 30 minutes of pitch time with him. He must be absolutely buzzing to play with him as equals and we have had great players with each but when was the last time we had two absolute all time spurs greats playing at the same time?
Armstrong & Iversen? :playful:

I actually remember being excited about those two together ?. How times have changed....
I remember actually feeling sad when I found out we'd sold Armstrong to Bolton. He was our record signing at one point - £4.5 million from Palace. Unbelievable.
