Him and Foyth not starting which is good news.

Why is that good news? Both have had very limited game time this season. I think it's great that they both are regular starters in a high ranking national team, especially Foyth as he gets used to playing RB which is very much a problem for us.

Just don't want them to get injured.

I don't have the statistics but I would wager that players get inured may more proportionally in training than they do in actual matches.

I think people are thinking about lo celso on international back in September and how long he was out for after the injury he picked up and just don't want it to happen again.

I understand this and that was certainly unfortunate and disappointing however I do not subscribe to this notion that every player needs to be kept in cotton wool and we should resort to tactics such as faking injuries to keep them from representing their countries. It doesn't sit right for me and if the player is keen and passionate about their international duty especially so. This is separate from my previous point that injuries can happen at any time. If the rationale in keeping them at home is to acclimatize and work on tactics that might change my mind but it is rarely ever that.

He played the other night so I'm absolutely fine with him & Foyth not starting tonight against a Uruguay team likely to kick chunks out of them. If Poch says Lo Celso isn't fit enough to complete 90 minutes in the Prem then I'm fine with Gio taking it a little easier on international duty.

We have a game Saturday would be a great excuse for Pochettino not to start them. Plus they they are playing Uruguay which is never good news.

He got another 90 minutes under his belt thats with no injuries without having to do 2 games every 3 days so thats great in my book. Should be starting sat.

I thought this signing was our call and not the player's?

With the only possibility that he didn't sign being that if we didn't make Europe next season WE had the choice?

So i guess it's just down to whether the new man wants him...

You really shouldn't mate. Most wanted Poch gone. It would have been a far worse squad attempted exodus had he stayed.
We’ll see. The new manager needs 100mil to spend in January but we know there’s no chance that happens.
