Can't help thinking that you'd be more settled to to the task in hand, the Copa America, if your transfer and future is all sorted out wouldn't you.

Some deluded people refused to believe me when I said it in the Eriksen thread yesterday. It’s obvious when you think about it.
If anybody honestly thought Levy would spend that much money without a substantial amount coming in from somewhere, they must not have supported the club for very long

Herc said that's the case earlier in the thread. You'd like to think he knows that for a fact.

Sorry did you not say we would be looking to sell Eriksen first before buying the Betis guy?

This is supporting what I said, in that we buy first and then sell Eriksen.

Yep, no chance were we doing Lo Celso without Eriksen going out the other way. Still curious to see how we get "better" next year we have so much work to do in the window.

I personally think Lo Celso and Ndombele for Eriksen is a net improvement, especially if Poch persists with the 3 man midfield he's been toying with this season. However you are right in that on top of that we probably still need another attacking option and/or backup ST, another DM, as well as the obvious RB upgrade.

If we can wrap up Lo Celso, Ndombele and Sessegnon this month I'll be feeling a lot more comfortable about us getting the rest done. That seems to be what media/ITK are suggesting our plan is.

Totally agree with this

But it’s not a case of ‘Eriksen for Lo Celso and Ndombele’, it’s a case of Eriksen for Lo Celso and Ndombele is someone we should be going after regardless.

Yep. We've got/had a massive space in midfield ever since we knew Dembele was no longer reliable.

So what you are saying is that Lo Celso and Ndombele isn't an upgrade on Eriksen and Ndombele but the problem is that Eriksen is going so it's really about Lo Celso and Ndombele being an improvement on just Ndombele and if, however unlikely, Eriksen changes his mind and stays then we have a real improvement.
I understand your point but I think its basic premise is flawed.

I just hope if we do manage to get both Lo Celso and Ndombele in, I hope we get them in ASAP as they'll both be integral to the team and will need to get up to speed with Poch's methods. All the noises suggest we are (y)

As long as the net result is Spurs squad for 2019-20 is stronger than 2018-19, which I think it would be in that case, then I'm happy.

No point worrying about Lo Celso being inferior to Eriksen when the latter ideally wants to leave. We've obviously tried to keep him and he refused a significant payrise. If he stays then great if we can afford it.

Personally I think we need to add a bit more hunger into the side to freshen things up anyway, and Lo Celso will bring that AND a lot of quality.

Lo Celso isn't as good as Eriksen and Ndombele IMO should be an improvement on Dembele so net evens out, but I suppose thats a pretty basic way of looking at it.

Still need funds for a RB, backup striker, DM, & Lamela replacement.

We shall see!

Yeah I wasn’t aiming my comment in this thread at you dude. I agree with what you say, I said a deal agreed too, not sold.

It was at the people who were disagreeing when I said “I doubt we will sign lo celso until we have the money virtually in the bank for Eriksen or a deal agreed. It’s not how ENIC work.”
