Grow up FFS. Every player can improve. Harry is not immune to this.

He can have an epic career and take spurs to great heights if he never gets another assist in his life. Yes he could have a more rounded game but he doesn't need to so why does anyone care?

It works for him, it works for us so why is it even mentioned? Its because people are idiots and feel they need to critically "analyse" footballers nowadays to be taken seriously.

I seriously doubt people cared about nonsense likes assists even 20 years ago. Fifa generation.

In the same way that Lloris is an amazing keeper but has iffy distribution or Eriksen is key to our play but could be more decisive. It's not that fans don't appreciate the talent, it's that we recognise they can improve and help the team reach even loftier heights - surely there is nothing wrong with that?

Personally I think Kane will develop better decision making with experience and have said much earlier in this thread. He still frustrates the hell out of me sometimes when he chooses to shoot from impossible angles. Although I can deal with it while he remains our primary goal scorer.

Every player has a flaw, even Messi. Expecting your clinical striker to be a creative playmaker is an unrealistic expectation imo and I think people who care spend too much time looking at stats.

Good player but if an offer of 60 mil comes in we should accept it in a heart beat and rebuild for the future and present.
Worked out so well last time

If Kane came through another club, we'd all be moaning about why can't we produce someone as good as him through our academy

Creative playmaker is a slight exaggeration. I would settle for him passing to a team mate in space rather than shooting from an impossible angle.

I think you just got to let the guy play his football and let it develop, it's hard to criticise him when he's scoring so many goals and even when he's shooting we are still benefiting from it (see Eriksen's goal)

I can think of twice today he laid off the ball the a team mate rather than shoot. First Walker then Eriksen. Neither time we scored. We did score 3 times when he shot however. I'm comfortable with it.

Yeah, no.

HG talent does not grow on trees. When you develop a superstar as a HG club-trained talent, you don't ever sell unless forced - and even then you think twice.

The hilarious thing about this whole debate, is how often Kane knits our team together in attack.

His hold up play and distribution is already second-to-none, it's just that, oddly for a striker, he occasionally takes shots on when he thinks there's the opportunity.

His vision is excellent already at 22, but he's first and foremost a striker - and knows he has the ability to crack shots in from anywhere he fancies. Yes, he'll get even better at the old Sheringham-style 'fake-shot, dummy, lay-off' type stuff, but for now everyone should just chill and enjoy a blossoming talent.

Him, Ali, Eriksen, Lamela, Son etc etc will all make mistakes/bad decisions, but they're all still in the early days of their careers and have all showed the application and ability to improve. No point moaning about the lack of 'perfection'.

(On a side note, the likes of Modric, Ibrahimović, Robben, Ronaldo et all still get criticised by the overly critical, so maybe this is a fruitless defence. Messi is perhaps a one off, in that I can't remember anyone suggesting simple ways he could improve his game, haha!).

Only on sc could there be a childish argument in the thread dedicated to our homegrown centre forward on the day he matches last season's total with seven games remaining and goes clear top scorer in the league.

I think it's quite funny that there's a discussion about whether we should accept £60m for him, when no one has bid £60m for him. lol

Of top 10 strikers in the premier League (the highest scorers) only kane and defoe have just 1 assist

That would be a funny partnership in a 4:4:2, might just end in murder.

Anyway was superb today, like a horse trotting about with strength and power. Should imagine there will be a few bids in the summer, more so if he transfers it over to the euros

Should definitely sell a 22 year old pure #9 off the back of consecutive 20+ goal seasons. Even if he loves Spurs, came through our academy and only continues to improve. The time to sell is now, obviously. I mean, we ALWAYS have success with finding strikers in the transfer market.

i don't think he has had a great season and looked poor at times however imo that is down to him having no pre-season due to the Euro's u21

It also shows how special he is when he hasnt had the best season like last year but he still is the top scorer in the PL

A worthy comparison with Sanchez who had a great last season, had a summer tournament and suffered a bit from that. However unlike Kane he hasnt been delivering goals even if his all round play has been poor

Worth more than Bale imo

Would never sell as next season I expect him to get better

A goon I know bet someone at his work that Sanchez would score more goals than Harry this season, I'm seeing him in a couple of weeks so I'll ask how the bets going when I do.
