If you include shearer 1st division goals which I think is only fair. As it equates to those 1st couple of seasons when breaking into first team. Shearer PL record starts when he was already established. Kane had a couple of seasons to get established. Anyways if you then say fastest to 100 in TOP flight on minutes played. Kane wins. Minutes played is fairer as well as Kane has been subbed 40 times and shearer was subbed about 5 times in PL. so In minutes played fastest to 100.

Kane 11,263

Shearer 11,894
I've been saying this quite a bit to various people. The 'quickest to 100 PL goals' stat, whilst good, is a bit meaningless as it includes an arbitrary start date.

Kane reached 100 top flight goals in 141 top flight games. Alan Shearer took over 200 games. In fact in his first 141 games he had only about 39 goals.

I went back and checked all the big name strikers and I cannot see anyone who has done it quicker in England since Jimmy Greaves (135 games).

It's frustrating that people don't seem to realise Kane is up there breaking 50 year old records, because everyone is so focussed on the Premier League era only.

Look at this shit from Garth Crooks in his team of the week article.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/43027007

More than half of the piece about Kane is about how he will need to leave. No one else got that treatment. Its bollocks.
utd would not be able to afford him anyway and look how they are quickly fading in the league and play some of the most boring football. The only team i could ever see him go to is Real.

Honestly, some of you simply hate journos or something.
"Spurs must start winning the titles and preferably next season.
Kane deserves nothing less."
What is wrong about printing that? It's absolutely true.

Because it's absolutely nothing to do with what the articles about and he never says it about any other players

I hear this a lot and I don't quite understand how anyone can say United couldn't afford him, if they can't then no one can.

Arsenal were wrong to reject 'chubby' Harry Kane, admits former academy chief Liam Brady

Former Arsenal academy chief Liam Brady says Harry Kanewas released from the club’s youth setup because they felt he was too “chubby” to make the grade.

Kane joined the Arsenal academy at the age of eight but was released following only one season in the Hale End set up and also failed to make the grade initially at Tottenham before eventually joining them at 11.

After scoring his 100th Premier League goal for Spurs last week Kane described Arsenal’s rejection as “the best thing that ever happened to me”. This weekend he would haunt the Gunners yet again, scoring his seventh goal in as many north London derbies to earn Tottenham a 1-0 win at Wembley.

Brady admits that Arsenal got it wrong in assessing Kane, though he insisted even their arch rivals had doubts over whether the 24-year-old would ever make the grade.

“He was a bit chubby, he wasn’t very athletic but we made a mistake,” Brady told Corriere della Sera. “But Tottenham sent him out on loan to lower-division clubs three or four times as well.

“But through his determination he has carved out an amazing career and he deserves it. He has a character that drives him to improve all the time.

“After Messi, Ronaldo and Lewandowski, there is Harry Kane. The statistics speak for themselves and he’s still only 24.”

Brady, who spent seven years in the Arsenal first team until 1980, watched on as his former side slipped seven points behind Spurs at Wembley on Saturday, with Tottenham deserving far more than just Kane’s second-half header for a match they dominated largely without interruption.

Arsenal failed to manufacture a shot on target until the 68th minute and Brady bemoaned his former side’s failure to rise to the occasion.

“For a north London derby, a big match like that, [Arsenal were] lacking in intensity, it’s lacking in pace and it’s been a major disappointment,” he said on beIN Sports.

“[I was] very disappointed in our new signings and Ozil. Arsenal had real good chances to break away when Spurs committed too many men forward. The pass hasn’t been good enough, whether it’s been from Ozil or from Wilshere or Mkhitaryan.

“It could have been three or four. Harry Kane could have had a hat-trick and Petr Cech actually made a couple of good saves. Dele Alli missed an absolute sitter. Spurs were all over Arsenal in that second half.”

Crooks' is spurs through and through... He's just as mad as a bag of hamsters is all.
I though he was the better player of him and archibald and it was mysterious why his partner got most of the adoration. Crooks was fast, technically excellent (scissor kicks etc), scored loads of goals and was a very intelligent footballer.
Loved him and you can't help but listen to what he has to say about the game today.
And it is total bollox.

And the most blatant case of "we're about to play you and therefore will try to unsettle your best player" goes to....

As if Kane would make his big move to that tin pot league to play in front of Francesco and his dog each week.

Actually tbf maybe there he could just tell the Italian FA how many goals he wants to score at the start of each season, then he wouldn't have to worry about striving for goal records anymore

Never ever seen anyone faster than that goal in the Wolves semi-final reply at Highbury. Breathtaking. And I was there.....(y):)
