The anti spurs press are at it again even tho there is no football they are propping up their agenda against spurs by making up story's the latest being Kane has been going about saying that Mourhino style will lessen his chances of scoring and is too defensive or words tothat effect . Well apart from the fact Jose style is aimed at getting the most out of his main front man ; who would believe such tales in this day and age where everybody is to a larger or smaller degree self isolating therefore only in contact via social media .
Who also would believe that Harry would make such statements even if he thought that it was the truth from all I have seen and heard from Harry he is a man of integrity and would always keep his own council.
As I have said on the Enic thread the anti spurs agenda is as strong as ever and as ever the tabloid reporters are as low as a snakes belly .

Get rid and replace him with who ? Even if we accept your assertion that he isn't the same player as two or three years ago who could we get who is as good or better than he is now ?
put son up top, and either refresh the rest of the team or get specific pieces. Stevie - Son - RW

Selling Kane would bag us around 150m

players come and go, do people support tottenham hotspur or do they support harry kane? The way people are talking in this thread is like they've put Kane before the club, no player is bigger than the club if he wants to fuck off let him and lets rebuild

Kane is no longer a player that can create his own shot/own goal scoring opppurtunity, that's what we need to be looking for out of our forwards, he relies on service now which is what I meant when I said he's no longer the same player from 2-3 seasons ago as he could actually do that before.

Then just to make it worse he's out for a majority of the year anyway

This is the point though. Fans call for loyalty at all costs but as soon as someone loses form they ditch them and start calling them out. It was the same with Eriksen.

Kane has done more for the club they anyone in recent years and is easily our best player along with being England captain and an academy player. We should be putting a statue up not thinking of selling because he hasn't replicated 2017, a year in which he outscored everyone in Europe
mate are you on crack? We should be putting up a statue of Kane for doing fuck all? Why has no one called this post out it's ridiculous

You clearly missed that Burnley game then...

would you let one game decide your whole view on a player? I've seen kane go missing every big game for the last 2 years
?

Sorry, this a Tottenham Hotspur forum, were you looking for a different football club website? Because otherwise your post doesn't make a lick of sense.

I really would like to see who, all posters supporting the idea of Kane leaving, believe they could bring in to replace Harry . Must be scores of similar strikers with his goal return per game out there!!
The only two striker out there who I would be okay with getting as a replacement if/when Kane goes is Lautaro Martinez and Haaland. Unfortunately they will go to bigger clubs then us and (in Lautaros case) cost a huge fee which Levy wouldn't pay even if we sold Kane for twice as much. If kane went I could see Levy taking a punt on someone like Jovic for a reduced fee.

So what's your argument, that he can no longer create his own goals or that he goes missing in every big game in the last 2 years? (both are a complete over exaggeration by the way, you know that right?)

My argument is Kane is not good enough anymore that we should be ignoring offers for him

People on this forum are caught up in nostalgia, we will never move forward like that, we need to be brave and sometimes that means letting go of an individual for the sake of the team

How ridiculous is it that the fans here are willing to put Kane before the club, but Kane won't put the club before his career?

Just got a feeling Kane ain’t gonna win anything staying or leaving spurs. I don’t think the clubs will come in for him now. Be someone like united who have the money but aren’t gonna challenge.

We will be fine even if Kane leaves. We have been here before. That just says a lot about us as a club unfortunately. Just hope we get mega money for him if he leaves, and Levy isn’t the one spending them.

He's going nowhere this summer. In fact, most players will be staying put, i reckon. This situation will have a profound impact on spending over the next 18 months. The only players to really benefit will be free agents. As they will be more in demand with teams having very limited budgets. Yes, that includes Citeh too.

If or when the next season rolls around our squad will look mostly the same with maybe two or three gone and about the same in. Most of which will be frees or loans.

So now is not the time to fret about Harry. Whether he likes it or not, he ain't going anywhere until the summer of 2021 at the earliest.

timing of his remark is a problem - football isn't that important but why couldn't he show some discretion?
I don't know about that... he's always been consistent about wanting to stay as long as Spurs continue to progress and match his ambitions. His remarks haven't changed over the years but perhaps the fortunes/ambitions of Spurs have, and now we are further away from winning trophies than we were before. Reporters and pundits like Redknapp are always going to be asking the same question to generate headlines, so let's not get our knickers twisted over it.

Exactly this. The market is going to be really depressed this summer because of this crisis. No way will there be any moves the size of the deal it would take to sign Harry happening. So this means we have at least another season of enjoying him and hopefully we'll actually be in a better shape to compete.
