Kane dropping deeper for the second 45 is lovely, but I don’t get the feeling he wants to do that too much just yet. Maybe that’s something later in his career. I think he wants goals and he’s hungry for them, he wants to be where Son was, finishing them all off. I’m sure he’s happy to assist, obviously, but he wants to break records and I can’t see him being too happy IF that becomes his main position for us. But as a manager seeing how good that was, it’ll be hard not to try that again and again. That being said, different teams will bring different tactics I guess.

He’s too good for his own good! Baresi-esque defensive headers from corners, Hoddle-esque precision passes in midfield, De Bruyne-esque assists and, well, Kane-esque finishing up front. I think when he hits 30 he will be playing deeper more often but I hope we can find another Eriksen type in the meantime so Kane can stay forward for the time being, even though he’s just as good going deeper.

What a player.

2012/13 Bale was the best player I've seen in a Spurs shirt, but 2020/21 Bale will have to go some to be better than Kane.

I think if Kane is serious about winning trophies over breaking records, he might have to accept that there’s going to be a fair few matches in which dropping away from close centre back attention and into areas that he can assist others will be the best use of him. It also ensures we’re not predictable.

This type of performance lends well to a prolonged career of not necessarily having to lead the attack of being on the front line.

Phenomenal performance.

It feels weird saying this, but he's so underrated by football fans in this country (and sometimes at this club!).

If De Bruyne had put in that passing display, they'd dedicate a special section of MOTD to him.

Let's not forget he also scored another two today that were disallowed (one wrongly, in my view), so it's just a case of switching roles as the match situation develops. Strings to the bow...

Must be the most complete striker and one of the most complete footballers in the world. He can do it all, score with head, both feet, good in the air, insane vision and technique. If he does leave one day, we may be able to replace his goalscoring but not his all round play. Once in a generation player.

The best striker that I have seen at Spurs during my lifetime by a country mile. And I am old enough to have watched both Jurgen and Berba.

What the fook is this thread doing in transfers??

Came to post that Jose interview crash, saw its already there.

Again, imagine having Son and Bale running onto those passes. Like watching Gullit and Van Basten today.

The best all-round central attacker since the great Alfredo di Stefano invented the slightly withdrawn role.

There was a transfer story earlier in the window and people started talking about ITK within this thread so here it is. For exactly the same reasons as any other Spurs Chat thread gets moved in here.

It's an extra click away from it's usual home, that's all. Blimey, i'm sorry if that's such an inconvenience.

Nah, you just keep it on the real side of things while idiots like me run around in cloud cuckoo land then moan when it goes to shit.
