I don't get why people have turned on him tbh. Imo his had one terrible half against BM. I also feel his been completely let down by our poor CB and full back.
Because we always need a scapegoat. Come on down Harry Winks you are this season's Jermaine Jenas/Kieran Trippier

Do you see the similarities between gattuso and Seedorf as a pair and Lo Celso and Ndombele?

Gattuso and Los Celso similar? “Lol, say no!” more like

Los Celso already has more career goals than Gattuso in less than a quarter of the games.

Gattuso is the defensive midfielder we’re missing and as Wiki so rightfully puts it “makes up for a lack of technical skill with hard tackling and work rate”. Los Celso works hard but is a playmaker and really not very similar. He’s Lamela 2 without the conversion from fancy dan to maniacal presser required

Seedorf/Ndombele is more comparable, if we sidestep the fact that the former is GOAT candidate, so no pressure

I didn't mean directly comparable I said as a pair in that they are both high energy and willing to get around the pitch

Lovely little run and finish from him today. Taken with surprising coolness and confidence for a guy who rarely finds himself in front of goal.

Kane did well in the build up too: made space and a key pass.

ETA: Obviously not going to be an immensely popular opinion here but Ox is quite a player these days! Real shame that his two clubs are the most distasteful in the PL. Putting a positive spin on it, though, if he continues on this trajectory, Arsenal are going to have been robbed.

What weird times. Usually club players lose their urgency playing for England. Winks seems to gained his
Same thing with Kane tbf. As I said in the Kane thread, it just looks like playing for England is more enjoyable than Spurs at the moment, which is sad but not really hard to understand.

I mean, why wouldn't Kane enjoy playing for England? He's got 12 goals and 5 assists in 8 games!

Normally like our players to get in and out unharmed for England but these 2 games will be much needed for winks. 180 mins with the boost of a goal.

He has quality, we know that. Now to find a system and position that can see him use that and ensure he plays with confidence for us again

You rotate him, Lo Celso and Ndombele in a three man midfield with a CDM behind them. I guarantee to you if Mourinho or Ancelotti replace Poch, we play this way

Maybe it’s time Poch gave up on playing him as a defensive midfielder and just let him play his natural game like Southgate did today.

The problem I see with that (if you can call it a problem) is we've signed players specifically for the role which suits his natural game because Ndombele/Lo Celso both operate as hybrid 8/10 types. So for me as @doctor stefan Freud pointed out it's those 3 vying for those 2 positions which would be fantastic depth to have if we didn't have a giant hole at number 6. It's strange part of me wonders if we made an error buying both Ndombele and Lo Celso in the sense that their skillsets have such overlap and we desperately need players in different roles but I'm really happy we signed both.

I think they’re similar enough to have synergy with each other but different enough to complement either, like Xavi and Iniesta were or Silva and De Bruyne. I think I agree that it really needs to be those two with a very solid DM with Winks vying for a place with them.

I think he'd love to, if only we had someone to take the DM role. I'd personally quite like to see Skipp get his chance.

Yeah I think any combination of 2 from the 3 will yield great results but we're just lacking the Fernandinho/Busquets to our equation at the moment and unfortunately whoever is tasked with that role comes under scrutiny I think because of what they're being asked to do rather than their ability.
