Jose did say we could have a signing today lol.

Good signing for us. Think Jose deserves allot of credit for how things have gone with him.

Good news if only to protect our investment in him. Whether he'll become a mainstay remains to be seen and talk about him replacing Vertoghen is abit illogical but I hope to see him given plenty of opportunities next season.

I really like the cut of his jib. Great application and attitude. Well done to Jose for spotting the talent and harnessing it.

I still think he's got RB potential though

He can be a very good defensive right back in the mould of AWB given the fact he got speed and physicality, and his passing ability can be improved upon training.

He's the one youngster I don't want to see go out on loan next season. I suspect he'll be our backup RB and will likely get some runouts across the back line when we have injuries, so there should be more than enough opportunity for him to make enough appearances to continue his progression.

Dont think it will take long to be a first choice starter.

Really think hes going to be a great player. Hes poised and has great balance and reads the game so well.

He’s had a stellar debut season and I’m glad we’ve tied him down to a long term contract.

He’s going to be a mainstay in our defense if he continues his development in the same manner. Jose could turn him into a monster CB or very capable defensive RWB. Only tell will tell, but he is exciting.

Contract extension and it’s tenure says how club view a player.
A 5 year deal is big compliment to Tanganga. While Dier is on higher salary .... still fact that Tanganga got a 5 yr deal vs Dier’s 4 year deal till 2024. May be it’s just that Tanganga is much younger & lower salary , but still I find this interesting

Anybody have a sense for what his status is? Is he still injured? Back in training? Feels like he’s disappeared.
