I know, hear exactly what you’re saying but Ndombele, Winks and Lo Celso could give us enough dynamism. At least until we upgrade the RB position in January

I feel like this is the big issue we have, we have 3 of our players in Sissoko, Winks, Ndombele who are actually showing desire fighting for 2 positions, you could even argue you only want 1 of them with a proper DM which we seem to lack and then you have 3 showing desire uptop in Moura, Kane, Son fighting for seemingly 2 positions.

So it's the debate off whether you try and get people in correct positions regardless of whether they're showing desire or try and fit in as many people pulling in the correct direction as you can. So I can understand your argument about Sissoko especially if we played him as a RWB but it's not ideal. Could also argue Aurier/KWP shown enough fight to justify that type of position with the correct defensive support in midfield and CB with them. I don't know the best solution quite frankly.

Ndombele is puffing after 30mins,Glc is injured and God knows when he will get fully fit,.. We are talking about now, now when we are desperate for players to stand up.

I know- but we also need a defensive midfielder that isn’t broken. And Poch clearly doesn’t trust KWP while Aurier keeps being batshit

I watched 60 minutes and thought he was very competent. Didn’t put a foot wrong bar 1 stray pass. Also quite interestingly Gnabry was through in exact situation like he was against us and Foyth totally shut him down. Didn’t back off like Alderweireld ( who also did same against Connolly). I definitely think he could do a very good defensive job at RB we lose a bit going forward. But right now we need to stop leaking goals. If Pochettino watched tonight which I presume he did Foyth will start Vs Watford at RB or CB.

We desparetly need a RB in January, surely there is a decent one somewhere even on loan that we could bring in, from Tripps and walker to this is criminal.
DM is also a problem, but Foyth has all the tools imo for that role, why not try him, far better suited than a RB imo.

I didn't see the game, but from what I've seen of Foyth at RB, he doesn't look natural there or comfortable, in fact he makes me very uncomfortable there, maybe he can grow in that position, but we don't have room for more errors.

He played on the right of a back 3 second half which was more encouraging.

2nd half was much better for Argentina as a whole and there was a few good bits from Foyth, he covered really well, was quite quick to shut Gnabry down. The one time he got forward he produced a fantastic ball and there was one moment where he feigned to take it past the opposing team. He looked a lot better on the right side of a back 3. as I've said, I'm fine with risking him I think he has a lot of talent which is worth developing and in that role he looked a lot more comfortable.

a back 3 you say? With wing-backs? Hmmm

After no reaction on Saturday its time for change, maybe he could play there with Sanchez and Jan, Sissoko and Rose wbs...

Honestly it's a bit of a roulette right now there feels like there's no obviously correct answer but I must admit I like this idea because it takes pressure off of the fullback situation, takes pressure off of needing a proper DM to an extent, It keeps at least one of the Belgians in to lead the line whilst adding pace in Sanchez, it would also allow us to integrate Sessegnon a lot easier.

Very lucky that arsenal sold Gnabry for 5m.

Classic international games. Players has been out with injury but the coach let them play 90 mins. (y)

I'd like to see him in the Dier 'hybrid' role of DM/CB. Looks made for the job to me and Dier is miles off at the moment.

I still want to see him at RB for us. It seemed to be the Poch plan for this season and I'm intrigued to see how it would work.
