David Ginola made more effort in a tackle than this guy. Even when Sissoko was struggling he never shirked and kept trying. I have never seen so many half hearted challenges from a supposed premier league player.

I've kept quiet on this up until now and I know the fact we lost highlights it further. Toby Alli x2 Kane x2 missing superb chances that any other week go in but we shouldn't have been chasing the game. Trippier at best is a decent back up RB shouldn't be relied on against good teams. far to often makes stupid mistakes he's living off the WC but he's costing us so much.

How many chances did he create in the 2nd half? Was our most dangerous outlet by a mile. IMO One poor pass does not make a goal a 'gift' after a great assist and pretty poor goalkeeping, it doesn't make his performance overall a poor one, but I'm fairly sure the ratings thread is full of low numbers and tonnes of vitriol from the usual suspects.

5 Tackles (most in the team with Winks)
3 Key Passes (most with Kane and Eriksen)
84.6% Passing accuracy (including crosses)
7/14 Accurate Crosses (also won corners)
97 Touches (most in the team)
Christ man give it up.

He consistently makes massive mistakes tho that always hurt us more, than the little things he does well. There was a countless amount of times he got caught in posession, played a sloppy ball, or left far too much space in behind that left us expose. At the level we are competing at his weaknesses are always going to get exploited.

He's not a completely useless player, but no way is good enough for spurs.

At a certain point it's the manager who deserves the blame. Trips has proven over and over and over again that he's a liability in important matches. He has no business being selected against top six/CL-level competition, and Poch should very well fucking know it by now.

If we play a back 4 he cannot start as he is a liability defensively. If we play a back 3 then he is a massive asset with his passing in the last third.

Yep, incredibly disappointed in Poch for continuing to run out Davies & Trippier against top 6/CL opposition. It has to stop. It's quite literally costing us games/points.

Sorry for backing up my opinion that one poor pass doesn't make a poor performance.

Always quick to pick out the bad and ignore the good with Trippier for a load of 'supporters'.

No one else thinks Hugo could/should have done better? That maybe Rashford shouldn't have been in so much space? Was that an easy pass for Pogba to make?

Hugo should have saved that, you're correct. But he shouldn't have been put in that position in the first place.

It's so hard to hold back from arguing at this bullshit, but I know its just going nowhere.

Sadly tripps isn't good enough or consistent enough for a team wanting to win titles - all players make mistakes over a season - but it's those mistakes that start costing you points, that you have to get rid of.

he's got a lovely cross and is an asset in the final third, but he's a pretty poor defender, for a defender. This isnt the first goal he's cost us this season with a blunder.

He fucked up and cost us but at the end of the day we should’ve won that game by 4-5 goals. I’m more pissed off we how wasteful we were making it easy for De Gea than I am pissed off at Trippier.

He didn't defend well, but your right. His bad pass is being over scrutinised and his crossing is being overlooked. Unfortunately his mistake led to a goal and his crosses weren't put away. Another day and he could have gotten a few assists and the pass would have led to nothing and his detractors would instantly forget this performance.

‘Supporters’ are allowed to think a player isn’t good enough surely? I think he’s an extremely average right back who has become over hyped due to some good games in the World Cup. I don’t want him to start another league or CL game for rest of season. If we want to strive to improve, which all ‘supporters’ want, then it is paramount we improve in certain positions. Right back is one of them.

Culpability doesn't always rest with a single player. Trippier brings more to the table than any other full back and Poch knows that.

If you think he's getting dropped, I daresay you'll be disappointed. I'm only vocal, because I think a lot of the shit he gets is often unfair. Davies too.

He created enough to win that match with some better finishing, doesn't that make some sort of amends for some of you?

The favourite scapegoat.

BC used to argue that Trips is better than Walker :ROFLMAO:

The guy is not good enough for this level. He is a Leicester/Southampton type of player.
