Wasn’t able to watch 2 nd half. How was he ? Seen some saying he looks done? Not the same player ?
People saying he's done are talking out of their rectum...officially.

He got on the ball and immediately danced around 2 Palace players to move the ball forward. I also noticed as soon as he came on Eriksen started playing further forward and finding more space. Dembele isn't just a holding midfielder, he has the ability to suck players into him and ghost past them then releasing the ball to Kane, Alli or Eriksen. Funnily enough Modric used to do the same thing for us.

Only difference I'm noticing on his return is he seems much more angry. The fitness will take a bit of time and I'm happy to give him that. Let's not forget he will look unfit playing in a Poch team given how physically demanding the tactics are.

Does he tend to start for Belgium? Hope he doesn't play 90 minutes both games but he could definitely do with some game time.

Dembele just took the piss out of anyone who tried to tackle him. His power is immense. He created space by sucking players in

It always takes Moussa a few games to get back to form. I'm surprised people haven't worked that out by now.

Makes such a difference to us when he plays it simple and keys into our 1/2 touch play.

Flow is so much better through the field.

Hope he can sit in this pocket now and reproduce it whenever he plays.

But injured again. For me a ball playing CM is a necessity in January. We can’t rely on winks for rest of season.

Definitely injured? He was in post-match photos and I thought it might have only been precaution taking him off like Dier against Burnley.

I do agree though, I think we need another CM but can't see it happening in January. I think Dembele might have a few seasons left in him but not as a starter every week. Those days are probably already behind him unfortunately.

It was a bit strange. He went down in the centre circle with no one anywhere near him and immediately came off. Then rather than go down the tunnel ( as you would expect if something had gone) he went straight to his seat on the bench.

The way I see it, he's fine. As in the usual Dembele fine. He will always get niggling discomfort I think. But not injured that he will miss games.

Poch has been managing him very carefully and now will be even more so with frequent matches coming up.

I think he hurt himself in the first half. He fell over in their area and was holding the top of his thigh. I think it was after about 35/40 minutes. Maybe he continued to play as it wasn't that bad but suddenly got worse.

Apparently Italian media reporting that AC Milan are interested.

I love Dembele, but if it's true, considering his age and injury history you would have to consider it if it's a reasonable offer.

Fitness; Rhythm.

If he has the first and gets the second going, he's unplayable.

Cannot have the second without the first, therefore we may need to wrap him in cotton wool a bit, but if you do that he may then lose his rhythm/momentum.

Tricky to manage ol' moose.

Such a shame his body refuses to honour and sustain his immense talent.

Agreed. Was so great to watch his performance yesterday, not only because of how much he helped the cause, but just as a reminder of how damn good and imposing he can be. Rather than lamenting what is, I have taken the position that going forward I should simply appreciate every game he is fit enough for us to see his best. Been a tremendous servant for the club over his time here imo, and I will always respect him for it.
