His ‘assist’ for Son is a little generous!

He got caught a few times as well, but looks a talent

That threaded vertical pass he plays is really not something you’d see from Dier wanyama or dembele. Could definitely add a string to our bow having that creativity from essentially a DM.

Cool. So you no longer think that he’s average like Mark Noble?

Dier can absolutely play that pass.

It’s early days I’m not raving about him like some people. I thought he was distinctly average against Burnley. But In cameos he has looked better especially against Everton. There’s obviously potential there but I’m in no way yet convinced. However as said he seems to potentially have more attributes than Dier or Wanyama.

When ? He had one notable assist in 12 months the long pass to dele. Dier plays long balls over the top. Never see him play threaded passes.
Not sure exactly what you consider threaded passes but he also had an assist vs. Everton last year that was on the ground and bypassed 4 defenders.

I thought he got caught on the ball early on, and was maybe struggling, but each time was switched on to win the ball back straight away, and grew into the game. Good test, and shows he will not be the type to clam up if things are not going his way.
