Finally. Although to be fair with his injury there was no real rush. It will be good to get another long term target in.

My guess is when he’s available for free, a lot more teams become interested.
It generally takes a year for a player working with Poch to adapt to his methods before we start to see the best of them. Better to get him in sooner, so he can learn and improve.

Plus if he's on a free transfer, loads of teams will suddenly be interested and throwing huge wages at him that we can't compete with.

He's one of the brightest young talents in England - until recently more highly thought of than the likes of Jadon Sancho. If we were to sign him for £30m and give him a 5 year contract, he'd be worth pretty much double that overnight. There's no real downside to buying him, even if he fails we could sell him for a profit.

I see that totally but think given that we would "save" £30m we would put those towards wages and/or a hefty signing on fee - it will all be the same in terms of costs but we would have additional income next year etc. Also i think as suggested he wants to stay in London and we would be best fit so Manure and other clubs could try but i think we would get him in the end

Anyways moot point as ITK suggests its done haha - so my grumblings are useless now.

JJ did say that but everyone chose to ignore it and get annoyed it wasn't done quickly anyway.

We would not save £30m as we would need to pay a fee at a tribunal, which wouldn't be £30m of course but could easily be around £15m.

Really good deal for spurs especially with a player going the other way. Yea Sess isn't going to take us to the next level immediately but he's 19, has played a lot of footie for someone of that age, has a lot of talent but needs to be nurtured which is perfect for Poch and can cover several positions on the left which for this season makes him a perfect squad player.
Personally I'll be delighted if / when we get him

I personally am very excited to see Pochettino working together with Sessegnon. Hope this go through.

We'd instantly improve our options from the bench with Sessegnon. I can see a lot of scenarios where we are chasing a goal or having trouble to break down a packed defence and Sessegnon would be a perfect super sub.

Very excited about Sess. I hope we just keep Rose for another year, and let Sessegnon slowly integrate and learn. He will be a good option to have for smaller games and there won’t be pressure on him. Shame about Onomah thought he looked great at the u20 World Cup playing deeper

I know that - my main point is use the 30m now to get whoever we need in terms of midfielders. Keep Rose then next year we would have generated further income to then spend the £30m on Sess or whoever in terms of full backs. About prioritising the cash for the midfield as I dont think our left side is a priority in this moment.

Then again im thinking this is more to do with succession planning and selling Rose but next year as i dont think we will sell now.

Good news. Really hope we still keep Rose.

Would be really great to have a year to work Sess in and make sure he is the answer at LB before letting Rose go at a discount.
