Of all the signings I'd say this is the least important. He's injured, really wants to come and probably wouldn't get much game time before Christmas anyway. If he's willing to wait we can probably get him on the cheap in Jan and I'd much prefer we spend that extra cash securing either Lo Celso or Fernandes.

Not free. We'd owe a tribunal and as far as I'm aware we can't negotiate in January for free transfers within the country, only overseas clubs can.

That isn’t how it works. Players are announced towards the end of the window quite regularly without Sky knowing exactly when the medical was.

JPBrooke is now the Spurs reporter for the athletic but I can't remember him having super scoops and then inside track previously. Plus, if u read the conversation he had on the pod - posted a little earlier- it was largely opinion, nothing concrete.
