Honestly, I think you guys are just a bunch of virtue signalers (well, either that, or you just want to take whatever chance available to hate on Aurier).
I find it ironic that when somebody calls out virtue signalling, they themselves are essentially virtue signalling.

Can imagine Serge being one of those people who really struggle with lockdown to be honest.

He's 100% not alone in that, and all three situations he's been caught in are completely innocuous.

I'd be surprised if any PL players return to action looking unkept etc and I imagine most have gone for a jog with a mate (if they don't have any family health concerns) during lockdown.

Someone should change his social media passwords without telling him, and that's that.

Serge is an idiot.

But any person on here that hasn't broken the lockdown rules or at least appears to have broken the lockdown rules or in some way or another or is a liar.

For clarification before I get all the neg reps this is what I mean, I took my kids for a walk on an empty golf course in Hertfordshire they were tired and asked to sit down and have a sandwich. A park attendant walked some 600 metres over to us to tell us we were not allowed to congregate (two kids and their dad) on a piece of grass with hardly anyone in sight as it was a breach of lockdown rules, we should keep walking. If we'd been photographed and I was famous I'd be getting lampooned for breaking lockdown rather than people appreciating that it's not possible for everyone to stay indoors with young children every day all day.

No one on here can honestly tell that they haven't been out against the advice or not having anyone visiting their home in the past two months. Also no one criticises Kane for going against advice and gone to a photoshoot. Bunch of hypocrites.

I cant believe todays posts.
A) You are all hypocrites.
2) It's not as if he did anything illegal. He got a haircut.
D) Who cares.

I know, I though about that while writing that post, but I didn't really try to find a way around it because I was being lazy.

Man has haircut and everyone loses their shit. He has the money to pay for a private test for his barber. Plus he gets tested by the club.

Bollocks.

Some people are responsible.

I bought my first house with my girlfriend of 7 years earlier this year but haven't been able to move in because of work that needed doing before lockdown. Therefore I now haven't seen her for 7 weeks.

I haven't seen my dad who lives 5 minutes away since lockdown.

I haven't seen my brother/sister other than when stuff was dropped off on the doorstep.

I cut my own hair with clippers and it looks shit - but it was the responsible thing to do.

Is what Aurier did the crime of the century? No, obvioulsy. But do you plaster it on social media and then have no remorse when there are actually people making sacrifices? He just comes across as a prick and irresponsible.

This isn't 'virtue signalling' - it's literally following advice (that i don't always agree with) as a healthy 30 year old.

I can say I haven’t as I have done exactly what I’ve been told to do. Missed my parents birthdays as they are self isolating, and with my job I’m in the frontline of it. So no we are not all hypocrites, some of us are taking it very serious as it’s better than having other stuff on yer conscience.

Looking at the boys in training, the majority have had haircuts since lockdown. This goes for most of the players.

“Spurs have grown exasperated with the defender”

Got a feeling he won’t be with us much longer. This summer may well be the best time to cash in on him like with Trippier after the World Cup (when we should of sold him but didn’t). After getting that load of assists, people will see that and ignore the rest knowing football.

I actually quite like Serge, he's a right character and OK, he might not be the brightest button but he's a good lad and seems to get on well with the squad.
Sometimes, the odd mad 'un is needed.
I also couldn't really care if he got a haircut or not.

Most people including me are in your corner, but what grates me is the unfair (my opinion) viral against Serge, where as you can see most footballers have had professional haircuts, why are they too not targeted? At least Serge didnt hide it. My knee jerk comments was a result of the agenda lead comments I was reading.

The "hypocrite" comments are pretty funny because the people who clearly haven't followed lockdown instructions automatically assume that nobody has. Some of us actually have and simply expect the same level of decency and respect from everyone, even if they are multi-millionaire athletes.

I can honestly tell you I have followed all the advice. But practically everyone on my street hasn't. My neighbours clap for the NHS every Thursday and then throw a BBQ party. I think they're mad but don't judge them. We all get through it best we can. As for Aurier - it's a tad silly when you're in the public eye - and the media/club have a duty to call him out.

I don’t think the club cares if he’s had a haircut or not. It’s just don’t get caught doing it and that’s Serge’s mistake.
