Tbh this thread doesn't really need any reaction after today's match. He was basically not good not bad, an all-round average performance which I'll take most weeks.

I thought he was fine. Was asked to attack the first 20/25 minutes then when he was asked to stop and be a defender he was fine. It wasn’t till they got the equaliser that he pushed on more.

He was poor in the first ten minutes but after that he was fine.

Ok. I take it that you feel he had a good game then? However, I disagree.

He didn't have a poor game at all, shaky first 10/15 but grew into it.

Aurier is an easy target - people are far too quick to jump on this narrative that he was rubbish, it's just lazy and annoying.

Aurier is a mixed bag. Lets all agree on that.
One game hes providing assists and the next hes kicking down opponents in the box.

You're entitled to your view, as am i. I'll support him while he's at the club but I don't rate him highly.

The easy target narrative you noted, is because he turns the ball over and makes bad decisions a lot. Just like in a number of games since he's been at Spurs, he did that today.

He did well once he wised up to Grealish's tactic of dropping to the floor.

2nd half saved a certain goal with some excellent covering and then proceeded to kill Villa down the right with relentless attacking runs.

Good game overall.

Thought overall he had a good game, few early wobbles but after that defended well and was relentless up that right flank. Does have a really bad habit of switching off, if Toby hadn’t slotted home his OG then Aurier‘s man was swooping at the far post unmarked as he decided to just stop tracking him.

Bollocks was that a good game. He stopped being mugged off by Grealish after a bit but he had one of those days where he was constantly out of position and/or sleeping on the job. Even that one he 'saved' in the second half was caused because he was asleep and had let the man run inside and beyond him, again, and he only got back because the Villa player had to try and control an awkward ball on the run.

He's done better recently, yesterday wasn't though.

Typical Aurier performance, mostly decent but always liable to cock up and cost us a goal. They could and should have scored from his slip

He's played really well in a lot of our games this season, but he's not good enough against PL top 6/high-level UCL opponents.

No words can describe how bad he was tonight, he has been shit for ages
Waiting for a defeat to post your usual shit. No words because you really cannot find something substantial to support your shit view, especially when the most stupid mistake was committed by Davies.

I'd put that up with one of his worst performances for us.

Some will remember two decent quality crosses.

Same old Serge. Improved under Mourinho but let's face it, successful teams (not counting PSG) are not built around players like this.
