good qualities in a midfielder.
And in a full back.

Højbjerg is doing the whole Busquets/ Toure defence splitting act and is allowing the fill backs to bomb on. We’re set up to deliberately mitigate full backs being caught up the pitch because the trade off for what it gives us in attack is worth it.

Some opinions are so far off they aren't worth validating with a response... and I'm not talking about yours.

He’s a baller. With potential to be one of the PL top LBs. And all of this bellyaching over Madrid wanting him back next summer.... its not like they click their fingers and he does their bidding. He has to want to go back. So, if he has a strong season and is happy with us, then don’t assume he will run back to Madrid just cos they want him back after ZZ is gone. I believe he will be with us for a min of two seasons.

So Ndongly is given 12 months to settle but Sergio is written off after a handful of games.
I am going to move to Dallas I hear the Cowboys used to be good.

He's got 2 assists in what...3 or 4 games? That's as many as Davies got in his last 2 seasons combined.

He's also speedy as fuck. How anyone can watch that run he made in the build up to the second goal yesterday and not think he's a bit special is beyond me.

Lmao let's not act like nearly everyone on here but a handful of us in the #CultofTanguy didn't write off Ndombele well before "having 12 months to settle". Ndombele's treatment by fans is incomparable and was 1000x worse than having one poster have a very hot take on Sergio.

I think it's fair to say nearly every fan has been impressed by Sergio, hence why everyone is freaking out that Madrid is going to buy him back.

In the last 6 months I have read posts on here advocating that we sell Kane, Son, Ndombele and writing off Hojbjerg and Doherty after 1 game.

Nothing surprises me any more although the criticism of Reguilon, who has been majestic since his arrival did come close.

I think we saw tonight what we miss when he's out of the side. He adds an extra threat that makes us even harder to defend. I think it was the right call to go for the more solid and physical Davies tonight but I'm sure he'll be back vs Brighton.

Yeah I can also see Jose is rotating where he can to keep players fresh and hungry.

But we really missed Reguilòn‘s pace and attacking play tonight as Davies did get forward but he’s nowhere near as nippy and didn’t really give the confidence he might make something happen like Reguilon has been doing.

If there’s ever an SC meet up, I just know you‘d be buying all the beers, getting everyone singing/dancing, chatting to all the women, and treating everyone to a kebab at 3am.

Another assist today and a good high energy performance. Love the fact that he can pull it back and use his right foot as well to cross the ball. Just need Toby to keep pinging those diagonals his way.

Seems to have gone to the lamela school of tackling, really flings himself into a tackle. Reckon he's gonna put up Robertson/TAA attacking numbers. It's great having a fullback with some end product.

Lots to like going forward. And the assist was class with his weaker foot. Think Lamptey caused us more problems on that side than he did them though, tbf.
