Thread should always be on the 1st page ?

He has 4 goals and 3 assists at the king power another of his favourite victims.

Let’s hope so. Leicester will be a strong team this season and tough to beat. Sonny seems super motivated right now so hopefully can keep it going at Leicester too.

Suspect Poch might rest him tomorrow night if he can.

Think you're gonna see a 20 goal season from him, his game has come on so much.

There's not been many players in this league who are a legit threat with both feet, it's got to a point now where defenders don't know how to mark him because he can go on either foot.

Has to be in the same conversation as Mane, Sterling, Bernardo Silva in terms of effect they have on games and ability, that to me is on the verge of World Class...subjective opinion though.

I think Mane and Sterling are both better attackers than Son. Son could reach that level but he needs to show consistency over a whole season to be in that bracket. He’s not far off though.

You'd see a better output if he was in a more consistent team like Liverpool or Man City.

Seriously think if he plays every PL game he could out score Kane. Don’t see much difference in his golden boot chances to Mane and Salah. 50/1 in places.

I’d hope so, but he still can be very very inconsistent.

Would be awesome if he could provide a little more consistency over a whole season as he’s always been one of my favourite players.

All of last season was disrupted with international tournaments. This will really be the first season he is a regular starter with no interruptions hopefully.

I think the aforementioned players have slightly more to their game. Like I said though, he’s not far off.

As in?

If you put Son in Liverpool and City he'd be getting high numbers like those two, the reason why he's been inconsistent is because we've been inconsistent.

Don't forget Son was on top of his game in 2016/17 when we were killing teams and he wasn't even in our best eleven.

I just think Sterling is a better all round attacker who scores different types of goals including headers and poaching goals. Plus his consistency is better.

Mane is a slightly more intelligent player and a real handful and again scores more.

Bernardo is a different type of player so a strange comparison to be honest.

I don’t think it’s unjust to say Son lacks the consistency of the others so far in his career.

For all of Sterling's headers how many has he scored with his left foot? That's something that is often overlooked...Son can score with both feet and score from outside the box, can you say the same about Sterling? So better 'all round' attacker is certainly debatable.

You can make similar arguments about intelligence and threat for Son, Mane does have more goals than him but as I've said before what do you think happens if Son plays for either team...you'd be seeing a far more consistent player in Son because of the quality surrounding him.

Read what I said again, I said that he should be put in the same conversation as Silva and Sterling for the effect they have on games and ability...I'm not making a like for like comparison between players so I don't see how that's strange?

Son will be PL top scorer.

Son remains a very underrated player. He is so key for us and would grace any team in the world. Right now he is the first name I want to see on our team sheet

If Son took penalties I think he’d be a great shout for golden boot. Aguero and Salah have to be favourites for that main reason (whereas Mané, Sterling etc. have to watch their team mates get 4 or 5 extra goals that way). Although I think Sterling could have a Messi like season for goals (40+) as he’s right in the middle of a proper purple patch in the team who create the most easy chances (i.e. shooting opportunities from <6 yards a.k.a. tap ins).

Thing is with Son is that he still goes through stretches when he's bang out of form, and he hasn't found a way to keep scoring during those periods. Perhaps because he doesn't score many 'easy' goals. But to start posting even higher numbers he needs to still be effective when out of form. Obviously, when he's on it, he's borderline unstoppable.
